Hotel a 3 stelle a Warwick

La posizione è ottima per chi ha l'autovettura, appena usciti da M40, il centro città si raggiunge velocemente, in un paio di chilometri sei nella High Street. Comodo parcheggio (a pagamento, con registrazione della targa autovettura) proprio di fronte alla reception. Personale molto gentile e presente per ogni necessità, camera ampia e ben insonorizzata , pur nello stile ”Express”, ovvero solo sapone liquido in bagno, no cassaforte e niente frigobar. Qualità del sonno ottima, cosi' come letto e materasso. Colazione nella norma, abbiamo trovato molto gustoso il bacon, le uova sono solo ”scrambled” (negli Express no ”poached eggs”, come ci hanno gentilmente informato ), molto bene la parte ”salata”, un po' debole il versante ”dolce”. Ambiente abbastanza popolare, diretto effetto di un rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente, non potevamo chiedere di meglio. Il voto avrebbe potuto essere più alto, se non si fosse registrato un inconveniente piuttosto fastidioso. Nel nostro soggiorno di cinque giorni, si sono ”dimenticati” di rifare la camera l'ultimo giorno. Non abbiamo detto nulla, consideriamola una semplice dimenticanza, ma evidentemente non va bene.

Hotel tipico di autostrada. La maggior parte delle camere ha qualcosa di sbagliato. I riscaldatori non funzionano, i sigilli per finestre non esistono. Ma camere pulite, spaziose... e buon personale, che cercano di aiutare.

房間乾淨整潔，床品質量一般，可以接受；酒店衹有洗頭膏、沒有護髮素，洗頭髮不順滑；床特別窄，忘了量尺寸，估計衹有60cm寬；同一個停車場院裏有waitrose超市，價格比TESCO貴；有肯德基、漢堡王，價格都不便宜；房間不像英國其它連鎖酒店的房間那麼小，但桌、架、掛鈎等設定少，箱籠衹能堆地上。無早餐房間，不知早餐如何！我們的房間窗子關不嚴、有縫；房間內電暖器已經可以用了。安妮海瑟薇農舍 後住此，第二天chatsworth house（柴茨沃斯莊園 也是拍攝傲慢與偏見的達西莊園）

My partner and I had a very pleasant stay. There are two members of staff that deserve a special mention. The first is Mazino who is the operations manager and had only been there a month but what a credit to the company. He was very professional in his role but at the same time looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble to make our evening meals so enjoyable. The second person to mention is the chef who unfortunately we did not see but the food he produced was outstanding. We felt very sorry to see beef burgers on the menu when guests could have enjoyed the blade of beef which was so tender (had twice) or the pork medallions in the lovely creamy sauce (had twice) plus everything else on the menu was delicious and presented very professionally. Having owned and run my own hotel for 28 years I know how important it is to have good staff and these two are first class.

The room was attractive (but smelt unpleasantly of cheese or similar when we arrived) with comfy beds and a nice view of the church. That's the good bit but unfortunately the rest made it too odd to enjoy. It was so strange - like staying in someone's house where they weren't expecting you and didn't want you there! The staff were completely disinterested and unfriendly from start to finish. Breakfast was strange - jars of cornflakes, crunchy nut cornflajes, muesli and croissants on one table with a plastic bottle of milk, plus some bread and a toaster on the bar - noone showed you where anything was, you!had to find where they had balanced bits of breakfast and the one member of staff sat with her back to us. We weren't offered tea or coffee but asked if there was any because we saw empty teapots on another table. Very awkward and uncomfortable. When we checked in, I asked what time checkout was and asked if I could extend it to 12pm. I was told it was 10am but could pay £20 to extend it, which I did. At 11.40am we returned to our room and a member of staff said 'what are you still doing here, check out was at 11am' so I said we had paid £20 to extend it to 12pm. We could not have been made to feel less welcome throughout. Very disappointing and absolutely not worth the money.

Very poor condition for 3 stars , I was surprised and disappointed to find the accommodation was not as I would expect for a 3 star hotel . On check in I rang the bell at the door and waited , and waited , no one came to the door , eventually a staff member came from the annexe across the courtyard and let me into reception with her key , only to find a gentleman sat at the reception desk , why he couldn't answer the bell and let me in I don't know , kept me waiting several minutes , unnecessarily. The room was on ground floor , in the annexe type building across from reception , with the window facing out onto the pavement and roadway of a busy street , the net curtains being ripped offered no privacy, so that I had to keep the curtains drawn at all times to maintain privacy . The carpet in the bedroom could only be described as ” grubby” , the bathroom smelled musty / mouldy , with black discoloured grouting in the shower , which looked like it needed a really good clean . The shower head holder , height adjuster , was broken, so that it languished at the bottom of the rail and was not able to be held at a suitable height , forcing me to have to crouch down , or hold the shower head with my hand in order to get my head and shoulders under it . The hand soap dispenser by the basin was either empty or broken, so that every time I used the bathroom I had to reach into the shower for shower gel to wash my hands with . On checkout I was unable to raise my complaints as no one attended reception, despite my ringing the bell , so I had to leave my room key in the early checkout box and walk away without the opportunity to speak with the staff . Cleaning staff nearby , chatting away in a foreign language , completely ignored me standing at reception. Very disappointed with the accommodation and the staff , would NOT recommend staying here at all .
