Hotel Walserberg

The entire hotel staff are very gracious, professional, and accommodating...made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The hotel offers free parking on the premises. Check-in went smoothly and we were offered a nice beverage upon arrival. The room is spacious and very clean with many of the necessary amenities. The view from the room is spectacular and the area around the hotel very quiet. The breakfasts offered many different options, and the dinners were truly exquisite, prepared nightly by the owner's son, a junior chef...all at an affordable price. The hotel offers a beautiful wellness center and stunning views of the mountains while relaxing after a trip to the sauna or steam room. Be prepared though as it's their custom to elect not to wear towels or bathrobes in that part of the wellness area. Check-out went smoothly as well, and they even gave us a parting gift...very nice gesture. As for any downside, there is no coffee preparation area and no personal refrigerator in the room. Lastly, the Warth area is really for skiers and although we don't ski, we booked the hotel anyways. We had a great time relaxing, walking/hiking trails, snow sledding, and taking in all the beauty that is Austria. Note: ski lessons are available, but we decided to stay grounded...lol. We have just returned after a wonderful stay at this hotel, the food and hospitality were first class. The rooms were lovely and the staff were flexible in moving our daughter to a room closer to to the rest of the family. The gentleman on reception was particularly helpful in supplying Eucalyptus oil for our sauna in the Wellness Room (I had a bad cold and it really helped.). The breakfasts were amazing and the breads baked at the on site bakery were superb. The five course dinner was varied and interesting, always with the option of a pizza from their pizzeria. Towards the end of the stay the service slowed down a bit and so we ended up eating later than we'd have liked. There was a spa and wellness area with various types of sauna rooms. We were actually in the Wellness Suite so we had our own sauna which was a lovely bonus.

We didn't stay in the Walserberg Hotel; we were at the Pure Resort, but we had a fabulous take away pizza and beer from the Walserberg. Utterly delicious. I wanted also to say how helpful the staff were to us, particularly Thomas. Our transfer vehicle had a flat battery and the Pure Resort was totally useless. In desperation we rang around other hotels for help and Thomas stepped up to help us out. He made a load of phone calls and managed to source a taxi for us all at 05.30 in the morning. An absolute hero. We will defo be staying at the Walserberg Hotel the next time we are in lovely Warth. Thank you Thomas.

If you book that hotel, be sure you will go! Their cancellation policy is the most outrageous I have seen for hotels (I had a cancellable price, not a 100% non cancellable price of course!). They charge 70% of the price for cancellation two weeks in advance. I cannot remember any hotel where I have been charged such a high price. (and of course I checked a bit later whether they had rooms available for the same week-end, and the hotel was full - easy money for the hotel!). For the rest, since I had to cancel, I don't know how the hotel is. But for sure I will never book it again!

Quaint medium sized boutique hotel, 2 min from skiing. We booked the romantic suite with bath, and room was bigger than expected. We also had fantastic views. The half board included fantastic dinner and breakfast with great service. Food options are limited, but with the buffet and 5 courses there was always plenty to eat. Across the street is the dorfbahn with quick access to the slopes. Warth is a more advanced ski area, but you can bus to/from jarlsberg. The spa area is extensive with clothing optional as is normal in this region. The massages were also very good. Overall a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Note that about 60% off the staff speak English, and menus are in English and German, although some of the translations are a little rough. We did find the rest of the area to be less multilingual than Zermatt.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden: Super nette, zuvorkommende und jederzeit hilfsbereite Gastgeber und Personal. Tolle Zimmer (Panoramasuite). Sehr gute Gastronomie, hervorragendes Brot und andere Backwaren (Familienproduktion). Sehr ansprechend gestalteter Wellnessbereich. Wir können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

Sehr freundlich personal. Es ist ein schönes Hotel sehr versorgt und sauber. Ich muss die Küche extra erwähnen weil das essen Fantastisches ist. Der Umgebung ist Traumhaft schön wo du selbst in Sauna einen grossartigen Ausblick auf hast.

Rundum gelungener Ski- und Erholungsaufenthalt. Der Skilift befindet sich schräg gegenüber vom Hotel. Es gibt einen wunderschönen Wellnessbereich mit Panoramablick ins Freie. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und die exzellente Küche am Abend rundet das hervorragende Bild ab. Unterstrichen wird das Ganze noch vom sehr aufmerksamen, freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Personal.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Familien geführtes Hotel. Immer sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal. Toller Service, sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen. Es wird sehr viel Wert auf regionale Produkte gelegt. Das selbst gebackene Brot u Brötchen sind ausgezeichnet. Der Chef empfiehlt gern den passenden Wein zum Essen falls man auf der Karte nicht klar kommt bzw. besondere Wünsche hat. Tolle Lage zum Skigebiet „Ski in Ski out“ ⛷️. Die Wellness Einrichtung ist auch sehr schön, auch wenn es im Duschbereich mal eng wird. Es fehlt Umziehmöglichkeit, wenn man aus dem Fitnessbereich kommt Gern wieder im nächsten Winter 😀
