Banyan Place

I had read the reviews and thought I had got a great deal. Building looks lovely from out side and has off street parking which is good. The location and layout of unit 3 is great. But...just walking in I felt it was unloved and not organised. Felt like some one had just moved out and done a sparse clean. I proceeded to clean the place before I felt comfortable. The glass table was smeary with prints all over it, the cutlery draw dirty, open up the cupboard to find a mishmash of glasses nothing in any order, plenty of plates and bowls which I proceeded to wash as there was food and grease over them, greasey stainless steel splash back too,one bowl still had the remnants of what looked like last nights pumpkin soup! Coffee cups badly stained did anybody check anything.... The next draw down was just like the local Rubbish draw. No towels neatly arranged on bed just found in cupboard under sink one badly frayed not exactly what I would give to my guests. Then the shower..... full of mould - glad there was some bleach left under sink......air conditioners also very noisy. This could be lovely accommodation but the cleaning needs to be sorted and just a little love goes a long way!! Sorry would not return.

We stayed in Apartment 6A for three nights and were not disappointed. 6A is a two bedroom apartment and we found it to be very clean. To access the apartment, you enter through the garage and climb the staircase. We liked being able to keep the car in the garage overnight. The bathroom was a good size and contained a large spa bath. The water was lovely and hot and toiletries were provided. The apartment had a good size TV and there was a selection of DVDs and even some children's books available. Great Wi-Fi. My teenagers were both able to connect their devices to the internet without any problem which kept them happy. The bedrooms were a good size. All beds were comfortable and each had an electric blanket and the lounge room area had a split system heater on the wall. It was a very cold weekend but we were nice and warm in the apartment. The apartment has a microwave, toaster and kettle and a small selection of tea, coffee and sugar was provided. This apartment does not have a formal kitchen so any dishes had to be washed in the bathroom sink. This was not a problem for us as the website clearly stated this. In the bathroom, dishwashing liquid and tea towels were provided. As a family of four on a short stay, we preferred having the extra bedroom over kitchen facilities. Apartment 6A was very comfortable and close to shops, restaurants and walks. The Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum and Village attraction was located just around the corner. We would definitely choose to stay at Banyan Place again.

Exceptional location... walking distance to everything! Very close to Flagstaff Hill if it's your first visit to Warrnambool... Flagstaff Hill being a 'must visit'. First impressions were interesting... we parked, then located our room... Up a flight of stairs we found our apartment. It was well appointed with a lovely layout. Balconies front and back. Ample room for a leisurely stay. The wins would be the lovely large spa... the beautifully appointed kitchen and of course... the location. The downfalls for me is that for a accommodation to be rated at 4.5 stars ( on the doors it has the Channel 7 rating) one would expect better extras in the room. The choice of coffee was International Roast...so my advice is to take your own or go to one of the delightful cafes in town rather than subjecting yourself to the coffee supplied. Again...the toiletries are what you would find in budget accommodation. The apartment did have very good internet connection. The towels again... budget accommodation ... However they did supply a good amount of towels. And to quote Gordon Ramsey, "Don't blame future guests for the mistakes of those bygone"... the wording on some of the instructions is a bit assumptive. The bed...well I struggled to get a good night's sleep, but that's quite subjective. Overall... I would give this four stars, based on first impressions.

A+++++ is our score for this delightful property, unit 3 Banyan Place, Warrnambool. We booked in advance for a 5-night stay as a family of two adults and one 7 year-old child. The property was clean, well stocked with everything we could ever need (loved the surprise box of chocolates in the fridge waiting for us!) and the facilities were fabulous. The two balconies were beautiful - the front one we dined in and got a gorgeous view of the huge decorated pine tree with a multitude of fairy lights in the main street of Warrnambool and the back balcony we used to dry our clothes each day (washing machine and dryer were great!). The apartment was simply divine and a big plus were the large corner spa bath and the massage chair (couldn't get my husband off this! - he loved it!) Comfortable bed also. Glenda, who manages the property, was a great host and booking agent. Thank you so much for making for a wonderful holiday for us! We will be back! - The Darby Family

I spend 60-70 nights a year in hotel rooms and perhaps once a year i will submit a review online. This place is that review - above and beyond anythink one could ask for. Fantastic space, everything u could possibly need, and wonderful staff. Wish i could have stayed longer but flew out the next morning. If in doubt, book this place. astonishingly wonderful!
