Cute 'lil' house with a great view! Just 3-blocks from downtown Wallace. This newly remodeled home features 3 beds . Perfect for a small family on a ski vacation or to go to one of the many Wallace festivals. Only a ten minute drive from the Hiawatha trail, Lookout Mountain and Silver Mountain. A half mile from the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and one mile from the Pulaski Trail. We keep adding amenities. FYI there is no wifi in the house, but most businesses in town do have it.Space Description:There are two sets of stairs to get into the home,~12-steps total. There are space heaters in all the rooms, A/C in the summer. Guests say it stays cool even on the hottest days.There's a master bedroom with a queen bed and a back room the has a curtain the block most light with a bunkbed (full and twin).The kitchen has most of the basics for cooking and meal prep.Other things to note:You will be sent a 4 or 5 digit code for your front door access within a day or two of booking the house. See Messages for that code.When you check out, simply strip any used linens, wash your dishes, lock the front door and turn off any space heaters or fans.In the winter Wallace can receive a foot of snow a day. We do shovel and de-ice several times a week. You may need to shovel upon arrival if snow has accumulated from the time we left and the time you arrive. We provide a shovel and de-icer. The house is close to the road so it is only 20 ft. and a few steps.No pets, service dogs, support animals are allowed due to allergies. There are no exceptions , due to our allergies this does NOT violate any state or federal ADA laws.FYI, this home is not affiliated with any other business, outdoor facilities or festivals. Understand if an event or business is closed, rescheduled or cancelled there will not be refunds beyond the cancellation policy that the guest agreed to when they reserved the property. The home features three bedrooms on the main level along with two baths. The kitchen is all new and nicely appointed with granite counters, hickory cabinets, new appliances, and is well stocked with everything needed, opening to the dining and living room areas. The living room has a comfy couch along with a new 65" flat-screen TV if you want to relax with a bit of Netflix after a long day of skiing at Lookout or Silver (10 miles in either direction). The dining area features a large table with a bench on one side and four chairs around the other sides. Sliding barn doors add a pop of color in three of the rooms.There is a large bonus room/loft/office upstairs with a twin daybed and a variety of fun/eclectic furnishings. There is also a full and usable basement below the main level with workout equipment and new 65" flat-screen TV to distract you while on the StairMaster as well as a small couch, bistro table, and dart board.All furnishings throughout are "new" with an eclectic farmhouse chic style -- most items are new from the factory with a number of repurposed accents from a variety of Coeur d'Alene "junk" stores spread about such as a potter's bench hutch, a custom-built standing desk using found pallets, and other knick-knacks.The master bedroom is comfy and spacious with a king-sized sleigh bed and a new 55" flat-screen TV. The second and third bedrooms are somewhat smaller but comfy with queen and double beds respectively.The internet is the "good" internet in Wallace with solid download speeds of 30 Mbps and a Wi-Fi router that reaches all corners of the home. The three new flat-screen Roku TV's are all set up with several of the popular streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and Peacock) for your viewing pleasure. A new 22 KW standby generator was installed this year to keep your stay warm and pleasant should there be a power outage in town.There is parking for one car in the driveway and there is also usually room for parking two or three cars on the street (subject to the vagaries of the snow plows in the winter) . The home has an attached two-car garage but that is reserved for an owner car plus various tools and equipment. A Tesla charger is onsite in the garage with the charging cable routed to the outside of the garage for use at the driveway.It is a century old home and there are a few quirks in particular that merit a mention -- the stairways from the main level to the loft and basement are tiny and the floors in a few areas (particularly the bonus room/loft) have a bit of a slope to them. The Tabor House was constructed around 1895 and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.  It has all the charm of a Victorian style home with modern amenities and located just two short blocks from downtown Wallace, Idaho.Although the home is not ADA compliant, there are only three short steps to enter the front of the home with a main floor bedroom. The second and third floors are accessible by stairways.THE MAIN FLOOR-has 1 bedroom with a king-sized bed and 37" flat screen TV with Roku. A USB rapid charger is located on the wall facing the backyard. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace with remote, a 50" flat screen with Roku and Netflix, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, games, puzzles and a book exchange. A Wii game console is located next to the DVD for family gaming. A Shuffleboard table is now located in the dining room. A CD Jukebox with free play is located in the living room.There is a spacious and well supplied eat in kitchen with microwave, glass top range, dishwasher, and full size fridge/freezer with ice maker. There is a large formal dining room, full bath, washer, dryer and gas BBQ (located on the backyard patio area).  Just inside the back door entrance is a mud room to put your skis and boots. There is also a radio flyer wagon to pull the kids around town or to get groceries as well as bikes to ride. There is ample parking on the street. Additional covered parking for your motorcycles, ATVs, bicycles, vehicle, etc. can be found at the rear of the residence.We hope you will enjoy the beautiful front porch (our personal favorite).  Wave to the visitors on the trolley as it goes by or if you are lucky, watch the elk or moose traipse through town. THE SECOND FLOOR-offers 3 more bedrooms and a full bathroom.  Two rooms have queen-sized beds and one room has a double/full.  There are flat screen TVs (32") in all the bedrooms also with  Roku, and lots of closet space. These rooms also have USB rapid chargers located along the wall which are labeled for identification. THE THIRD FLOOR-Or attic has recently been finished with new carpet, drywall, paint, windows. Because we are big on safety, we installed emergency exit (egress) windows.There is also an emergency escape ladder located in a silver plastic storage container in the room. We like to think of this floor as great for the youth in your group as it has 4 single beds in private alcoves (thanks to the gabled ceiling), a bubble hockey machine, 32" flat screen with Roku, and a classic Nintendo console (remember those?) with games for their enjoyment.   This of course does not mean that adults would not find this area fun also!There are five security cameras located at the front, rear and side of the residence. The cameras are live and recording.We accept pets up to 50lbs with a limit of 2 furry family members. There is a one-time fee of $25.00. Our home was once used as executive suites for a local multimillion dollar mining company. We've outfitted each large bedroom with King beds to ensure you feel like an executive during your stay. The home is unique because it's a 'modern' property in a historic town, boasting a lovely mid-century modern feel with two master bedroom on-suite bathrooms and an open concept floor plan.
