Sono stato qui una notte di passaggio la posizione è ottima parcheggio gratuito vicinissimo al centro. Le stanze sono spaziose accessibili direttamente dal parcheggio. Arredi un pò vecchi abbastanza puliti con un pò di manutenzione extra sarebbe top

Great friendly motel, Ann is very helpful , had everything we needed,there is a large playground just over the bridge within easy walking distance. we stayed 7 nights and also used the restaurant, the meal was excellent and value for money.

Great little Motel, everything you need. Reception staff were very helpful, and good value for money. We only stayed one night so did not get to use all of the facilities but they looked great. We would definitely stay there if we were to visit Wairoa again.

Group of five in Wairoa to attend the A & P Show Fair. Here for one night and the unit was comfortable with ample beds. Not a fan of the shower but they have recovered from the floods quite well and allowances must be made. No problem with the unit and Anne is great as the host. The restaurant was very hot but food was good and drinks (except for one wine ) were also okay. We got everything we wanted despite pressures caused by the floods - no WiFi but we sorted that okay. Anne is also very good in an emergency! And has my personal gratitude for that.

The two woman in the office were really lovely, helpful but the room was awful. Old and very unloved. Lights didn’t work, broken switches, hot top needed a new washer. No where was clean. The shower base had a big split in it, and was very dirty. Comfy single beds in the living room. The aircon and the outdoor pool was the only plus It just looked like no one loved the place

The Vista always have looked after us, friendly faces always. Need to find a chef to re-open the restaurant. Great story behind this place, rooms are comfortable however need a bit of updating as well but still a great nights sleep.

Our one bedroom unit was spacious and clean. We chose not to sleep in the double bedroom because it was so hot in there and the air con was situated in the main room where 2 single bedrooms were. There was a good sized table in the main room also and a spacious bathroom with good water pressure. The negatives were, no curtain or blind in the window to the back of the unit and a frosted glass door also at the back of the unit causing a security light to shine right into our unit throughout the night which was very annoying. It was unbearably hot during the night, unfortunately we chose not to turn the air con on because of the very loud noise it was making. It obviously needs servicing. The swimming pool looked as if it needed a good clean out and the sliding door separating the bedroom and bathroom is stuck. There is no restaurant although it is still advertised on the website. If anyone is requiring breakfast on a Sunday or any other food in Wairoa, it is advised to make your own provisions because there are no cafes open.

I had read previous reviews but had no option but to stay at this motel. My opinion is that the writers of previous reviews were unhappy people before they even checked in. Yes, there is room for improvement - but really, the other reviews are too harsh. Please consider that this area of NZ has been affected by 2 years of Covid lockdowns, very few tourists - local or otherwise. Our room had nice carpet, clean and good quality bedding, the bathroom did need a new hand basin and the ceilings needed some cleaning - the shower itself was clean, the water was hot and good water pressure. I have stayed in higher ranked hotels and found them wanting in a few issues. If you pay 5 star price you expect 5 star accommodation. This motel does not charge for 5 star!!! I would stay there again - the owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed here for one night so did not check out a lot of the amenities. I have stayed in a lot of motels and this one is definitely not the worst!!!!! To the moaners about it - toughen up and be a bit more understanding and realistic about the costs/work invoved in running/owing a motel.
