Vomo Island Resort

This is our third trip to a resort on one of Fiji's outer islands. We spent 4 nights at VOMO Island Resort in early October 2024. Crystal clear waters, clear blue skies, and pristine white sands! VOMO guarantees a bespoke experience like no other. Reservation: A big shout out to everyone from Reservations team patiently explained to me every question in detail. Thanks for all the prompt reply emails and we have finally booked our magical escape at VOMO Island Resort. The Boat Transfer and Check-in: Although our boat transfer was significantly delayed, the staff from VOMO at Vuda Marina made excellent arrangements for us. We were able to enjoy meals at nearby restaurants and indulge in any food and drinks, including ice cream, from the shops around. Ocean Play: Snorkelling, Freediving and Scuba Diving: GREETINGS from the ocean floor! The best spot is just under VOMO Lailai!!! You'd be surprised at the wonders VOMO Lailai house reef has in store for you. With the house reef rich in vibrant marine life at VOMO Lailai, you are assured to discover something or someone new every day during your casual snorkelling. We have encountered all kinds of marine animals, Sea turtle, Anemonefish such as Tomato Clownfish and Clarks Clownfish; Blacktip and Whitetip sharks; Groupers; Trevally; Butterflyfish; Angelfish; Hawkfish; Surgeonfish; Triggerfish; Pufferfish; Boxfish; Unicornfish; Hind; Parrotfish; Sweetlips and Moorish Idol. Hannah Quigley, the Dive Manager, went above and beyond to address all our needs during our stay. Her respectful and attentive demeanour truly enhanced our experience at VOMO. The memories we created were even more special thanks to her prompt responses and her dedication to ensuring we had everything we requested. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for her outstanding service. The experience of the daily snorkel safari was excellent; both the captain and the dive guide were very professional. BEACHFRONT VILLA #12 It had breathtaking panoramic ocean view and the seating area outside the room was spacious. We have found the perfect spot to relax while listening to the lapping waves. Lying in the beach hammock and spend away the mid-summer noon with your loved ones. Let yourself be treated to unparalleled panache and a dream filled thought made a reality only at VOMO. The Vuda Reef Restaurant and Vuda Bar: We were spoiled for choices at all-day. This is for a culinary experience worth cherishing for years. The breakfasts can be as blissful as it seems. Each dish served for both lunch and dinner are exquisite and delectable you can order whatever on the menu. Desserts are fabulous not to mention the extensive beverage selection served all day at Vuda Bar. Birthday Celebration We celebrated Lucy's birthday on the morning of our checkout day at The Reef Restaurant. The service team sang a birthday song and provided a beautiful chocolate cake. This was our fifth visit to Vomo and as always it did not disappoint. Fabulous team, wonderful Fijian staff who are like family (think hugs all round when you see each other) and a spectacular island that reminds me of my childhood Fijian holidays. Truly my happy place! Beachfront accomodation is the best with direct access to the beach, loungers, hammocks and bean bags in shady spots. The team at Ocean Play are amazing with Tamani and the team arranging whatever you need. We were lucky enough to take a trip to see Manta Rays this year as well as a picnic to Vomo Lai Lai and snorkeling. The turtle conservation program is always a favourite with our kids. The snorkeling is some of the best I have seen anywhere in the world with turtles, reef sharks and nemos plentiful just offshore as well as some of the most beautiful coral gardens. The Kids Club is brilliant with Sherry and the team ensuring the kids have a great time so parents can have lunch or dinner together at the Rocks so there really is something for everyone. The kids water aerobics early one morning is a great idea and allows the kids to use the adults pool for a short time. Breakfast at the Rocks is a great idea too - we loved it. The food is amazing as always and with an ever changing menu you’ll never go hungry on Vomo. Justin King and the team do an amazing job - I wish I could call out everyone who always makes our stays so memorable but there are way too many to mention. Thank you Team Vomo! It’s hard to explain how wonderful this place is. It is so unique and the staff is so wonderful that I wish it weren’t so far away, being from the States. We’ve never vacationed anywhere like it. From the accommodation to the food and the service, everything is just so magical. We had the best time and would love to come back someday. The other glowing reviews are legit, it really is that good.

We just returned from our third trip to Vomo. There is a reason why so many guests are returns guests. You couldn't possibly want anything more from a holiday. Beautiful beach, relaxing vibe (even when the resort is full you never feel it), excellent food (with great variety - after 10 days we never felt tired of the food) and amazing kids club. Justin, Melanie and their entire team do an amazing job at ensuring you have an outstanding stay. Kids club cater to all ages, they did an amazing job with our 8 and 10 year old boys.... we thought they would have outgrown it but Vomo have a crew of wonderful young men who keep the older boys active and entertained, which gave us much needed time out. We thought this would be our last trip to Vomo but we've already rebooked :)

The most magical staff and island to visit. At times the adult only areas were so quiet it felt like we had the place to ourselves which was incredible. Semi at the Rocks bar was not only so accomodating he made the best drinks and was always willing to answer our questions and just felt like Ive made a friend for life! You will be blessed to meet Semi. Tim and Zach greeted us on the island and they are the warmest gentle people I have ever met. The snorkelling was incredible the food was absolutely insane and I am a big foodie, the menu changed every day such great quality and service. The rooms were so spacious and I can't wait to come back! Thank you Vomo for the best memories.

Really excellent place for families with younger kids. Kids club takes great care of the kids, allowing parents to enjoy the stay at whatever pace they chose. The entire staff is the friendliest you meet anyplace, often a cliche but here it's a real tangible asset. Food is varied and great in quality. Recommended: Complimentary snorkeling tour is excellent and we liked a picnic on little Vomo, an uninhabited neighbor island. Spa was good as well. The beach quality compared to other great resorts is good but not excellent, too many rocks, even though the water is clear. Interestingly, the beach quality on the other side of the the resort, called Mamanuka Beach, is better. Although it's only a 10 min walk from the villas, it is always empty and with no facilities other than a few sunbeds. There are a couple of signs on the way to Rocks restaurant. Worth a visit. Beach villas are good quality.
