The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort

Cosa abbiamo apprezzato di questo hotel: - camera ampia - letto e scelta di cuscini comodi - vasca confortevole e di ottimo design - omaggio da parte del room service di una salsa di loro produzione - estrema educazione del ragazzo che ci ha portato i servizi in camera richiesti - roomservice ben organizzato - pulsantiera delle luci intuitiva e comoda - tv grande e con sistema infotainment ricco di informazioni inerenti all'hotel Cosa non ci è piaciuto: - ingresso confusionario con molte persone all'accoglienza - poca sostanza, una cliente si aggiustava l'abito col seno nudo di fuori in piena hall e nessuno del personale libero è stato vigile a prevenire tali volgarità sgradevoli. Ci chiediamo quindi a cosa serva tutto quel personale cerimonioso che ti guarda addosso ma risulta inefficiente quando necessario far mantenere un minimo di decenza - al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato la camera fredda per noi, abbiamo provato ad aumentare la temperatura ma usciva solo aria fredda. Ci hanno mandato un tecnico in camera che ci ha detto che poteva essere alzata solamente di 1 *C perché il sistema era centralizzato ed impostato a quella temperatura. Abbiamo sentito freddo ed il mattino seguente ci siamo svegliati con il raffreddore - Molta polvere nella stanza e macchia di sangue sulle lenzuola. Abbiamo richiesto di effettuare la pulizia della polvere nella stanza la mattinata successiva vista la nostra allergia. Al nostro rientro la stanza era ancora la medesima con la stessa polvere mentre le lenzuola macchiate di sangue ci sono state cambiate - nel bagno è assente sia il doccino che lo scopino del wc - calcare eccessivamente visibile - mal rifinito nei dettagli di pittura - residui di pittura asciutta sull'asciugamano dell' intimo - la doccia odorava di fogna - mobili usurati - il servizio del maggiordomo è presente ma non verificano che le richieste effettuate siano state eseguite a dovere - buffet ampio ma nulla di eccelso Il suggerimento che ci sentiamo di dare è il seguente: verificare che la governante sia in grado di formare il personale a dovere in modo tale da avere standard di pulizia adeguati e consigliamo inoltre di verificare che eventuali problemi riscontrati dal cliente su cose di così elevata importanza siano stati effettivamente risolti in modo da non far sentire i propri clienti trascurati ed insoddisfatti. Visto il nome dell'hotel, la catena ed il costo, ci sembra insufficiente. Alleghiamo foto.

Sono stato con la mia fidanzata e il resto della famiglia dal 24 dicembre al 7 gennaio. L'hotel è stupendo, in tutto, dalla natura, alla spiaggia al mare fino arrivare alle camere e gli hotel. Io e la mia fidanzata stavamo in una Sunset overwater villa, comodissima anche per fare snorkelling, la barriera è molto bella e si vedono molti pesci. In più di un'occasione anche squali e mante. Uno spettacolo. Lo staff è estremamente gentile e attento al dettaglio. Il cibo è buonissimo, il buffet di Natale e di Capodanno eccezionali. Il butler è sempre pronto ad assisterti e far si che la vacanza vada avanti in modo impeccabile. Alcune note migliorabili: di solito in questi hotel due capi al giorno di lavanderia e stiratura sono inclusi, qui solo la stiratura. Il cibo italiano, ovviamente lo dico da italiano, non è a livello per l'hotel ma se lo si evita e si mangia il resto è buonissimo.

If you are looking for heaven on earth - the St Regis Maldives is the only place to go. From the minute we arrived at the airport, Unoo made sure we were extremely comfortable and gave us a run down on what to expect on the island. After landing by Seaplane, Vincent and his staff were there to meet us, and were unbelievably accommodating - they made us feel like we were family. Our butler, Abanoub (who I don’t have enough words to describe how incredible he was), immediately gave us island orientation and was always available. He didn’t let us lift a finger the entire time we were here. From arranging dinner reservations, to Spa treatments, to Scuba diving, he was always there for us on a moments notice from first thing in the morning, until we went to bed. It was service unlike anything we had ever experienced - and likely will not experience until we come back (he also had a wicked sense of humor)! If you get the chance to come, you should definitely ask for Aba as your butler. We often came back to our beach villa to incredible displays of honeymoon themed flower artwork and other treats from both Aba and our amazing villa attendant, Maufooz, who always greeted us with a smile on his face and ensured our space was pristine, several times a day. Our favorite meal was at the Middle Eastern restaurant, Cargo, and we loved doing drinks at Whale Bar to watch the sunset before our dinner reservations, where Oka and Usam were always there to greet and chat with us while we were dining. They were both amazing representatives of the St Regis brand, and made us feel like we were at home with friends. We would be remiss not to mention some of the other incredible staff that made this experience once-in-a-lifetime for us. The amazing staff we dealt with at Alba every morning for breakfast: Novi, Afrah, and Zaina. Our lunch-time favorites at Crust & Craft: Sam, Shifaz, and Irfan. The amazing women at the Iridium spa: Josie, Windi, Elvira, and Elle, and of course our friendly and knowledgeable dive guides: Adel & Lu. As lifetime Marriott loyalists, we always like to try new things when we travel, and rarely stays the same hotel more than once, but I can say with confidence that we will 100% be coming back to the St Regis on our next trip to the Maldives. I don’t think there is a single thing they could have done to make our honeymoon any better than it was - it was unbelievably thoughtful at every turn, filled with surprises, and a ton of incredible memories.
