Hotel a Villefontaine, Francia

Arrived around 8pm after a 12 hr car journey. The receptionist was helpful, the hotel lobby and the restaurants have been renovated and look exactly like in the pictures. The restaurant menu was simple, we thought we couldn’t go wrong. I ordered a sirloin steak , got an unidentified piece of tough meet they tried to flatten up and cook as a steak, a knife would not go through it , staff were rude and non apologetic when I pointed out that it was not possible to eat. €90 later for a pizza , salmon poke bowl was also appealing , a burger and a steak later the only thing worth paying for were the two glasses of Chablis. I thought the French love food ? We got a room number 20 in the outbuildings, had to walk through a nice modern lobby area towards the gym and pool, out to the back of the main building. It was a ground floor mini family room with a kitchenette. Welcomed by an unbearable smell of mould, a massive spider on the curtain, cobwebs everywhere, basic bathroom, filthy filthy walls, dirty floor , filthy carpet in the bedroom, The towels and bed sheets were possibly the only thing that was clean . Not quite sure how can the hotel get away with offering these rooms on the market , surely this is a public health hazard . The reception who was very helpful clearly new , and made no fuss when I asked to change it . Now , I know we booked the room cheap €90 room, I paid few months in advance non refundable. They sell rooms from around €140 for a family of 4 if we turned up in the day and paid then. Under no circumstances I expected to be sent to a mouldy dungeon with two young kids. Except for the helpful young man who in the end swapped the rooms it was a disaster. Possibly most awful hotel I ever stayed in and the worse food I ever ate . No exaggeration! Just to add the new room number 20 was above the mouldy room , this one was clearly upgraded , cleaner but not clean walls, newer bathroom and furniture cob webs and a hole in the curtain. Filthy window. Even had a coffee machine and 4 paper cups available , it did not smell as much though I don’t understand why upgrade upstairs and leave the bottom part of the building rot? The whole experience cost us €180 euro , for an overnight stay. Didn’t bother with a breakfast. Treated ourselves to pastry and coffee from Paula’s motorway services.

A fuir... Le 22 octobre 2023, j'ai effectué une réservation par internet pour 2 nuits d'affiler à un tarif de 108 euros. Suite à ma réservation, je reçois un mail confirmant ma réservation. Le 24 novembre 2023 à 19h45 soit 15 minutes avant la fermeture de la réception de l'hotel et 1 heure avant d'arriver à l'hôtel, je reçois un nouveau mail m'indiquant que ma réservation était annulée. J'appelle alors l'hôtel qui me dit que je peux refaire une nouvelle réservation à un nouveau tarif de 168€ (soit 60€ de plus). Cette manière de faire est inadmissible !!!! Vente forcée ? Vol ? Arnaque ? Malhonnêteté ? A vous de voir. Pas d'autre choix que de trouver un autre dans l'urgence et à proximité.

Perfetto in generale. Hotel vicino all'aeroporto e molto conveniente.

Si può vedere il decollo dell'aereo, ma non è un po'.La stanza è pulita e ha un senso di progettazione. Tra il 1o e il 2o edificio, si può camminare dal 2o piano del 1o edificio al portale dell'hotel.Il 4o piano è la ricetta.Il 1o edificio ha un'indicazione sulla direzione dell'hotel. E'molto adatto per i passeggeri che arrivano tardi o parteno presto.

I got there and we realized I had actually reserved the following day. The young lady behind the counter did not make me feel like a dork, but made everything work with a smile. I’ll be back.

Siamo arrivati alle 10 di mattina a causa di problemi con le ferries di canale, ma siamo stati rassicurati dall'idea che ci fosse 24 ore di accesso a questo hotel. La macchina all'ingresso era rotta (qualcuno aveva spezzato lo schermo) e era così buio che non vedevamo immediatamente una nota che gli aveva dato un numero di telefono per chiamare. Non siamo riusciti a entrare nel parcheggio perché ci sono stati due barriere con le pinze, siamo riusciti a superare entrambe le barriere quando arrivarono altri, e una volta entrati, siamo rimasti bloccati perché non potevamo lasciare, quindi abbiamo dovuto aspettare che altri arrivassero. Non c'era risposta alla nostra pressione sul pulsante di aiuto sul intercom e la persona con cui ho parlato al telefono era completamente inutile. Capisco che non parlo molto bene il francese, ma cerco di non parlare più lentamente, e la persona che mi ha parlato non ha fatto alcun sforzo per capire cosa diceva. Quando ho avuto un amico francese fluido a chiamare, non hanno risposto. Finalmente, abbiamo seguito un coppia francese nel lobby e hanno attirato la nostra attenzione su un bustato che era lasciato sul lato con la chiave della stanza e i codici di accesso! Quando siamo arrivati in camera, era un po' noioso, ma un po' stanco di fumo, e in generale era estremamente stressante e mi sembra che si sarebbe dovuto chiarire quali erano le disposizioni se si controllasse più tardi la sera. Non sarebbe stato difficile inviare un'e-mail che spiegasse che se si controlla tardi, un'enveloppa sarà lasciata sul lato con la chiave in esso, ecc. Abbiamo due bambini piccoli e quasi continuato a guidare verso la nostra destinazione, perché non eravamo sicuri di poter entrare in hotel.

L’hotel è pulito e ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, Il personale è carino, il colazione è un po ' vuoto ma c'era una offerta a 2.9€ quindi il rapporto è ancora presente. È ancora un ibis budget. Il prezzo è molto attraente per il quartiere, le camere sono spaziose e pulite. E' ancora un ibis budget, ma il prezzo è comunque uno dei meno costosi.

Hôtel facile d'accès, proche de l'aéroport, dans une zone industrielle mais au calme, parking sécurisé, chambre propre, literie très confortable, insonorisation correcte , très bon rapport qualité prix

Dopo aver apprezzato questo hotel in un passaggio precedente, quest'anno siamo tornati in fiducia per diverse notti, ma anche se la stanza era parte di un'ala completamente ripristinata, questa è risultata deludente. Infatti: isolamento vocale completamente inesistente (si intende per i vicini urinare o discutere al telefono, eternizzare e altri). Nessun asciugacapelli o radiatore nella stanza di doccia; nessuna borsa a WC, un'illuminazione inefficace con il rivestimento murale oscuro, spazio a due letti gemelli con una delle luci di testa mal posizionata. Non c'è spazzatura nella stanza (solo quella della bagno). Punti positivi: piazza di cortesia, parcheggio esterno gratuito chiuso la notte, possibilità di acquistare pizza.
