Very atmospheric hotel with excellent service. A little tucked away in a ‘nothing to speak of village’ but a perfect stop off location for Olite with its medieval castle and Bardenas Reales - we were provided with a substantial picnic for €12 each. The evening menu was simple but substantial and very good value.

A lovely stay, a comfortable room and and excellent dinner. A very enjoyable one night stopover on a journey.

We had another fantastic stay. The rooms are immaculately clean. The dinner and breakfast are reasonably priced and good. The owners make this very special as they are so friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Wonderful place to stay. Hosts were amazingly helpful. Excellent home cooked food. Ideal location for visiting Bardenas Realas.

We were travelling from the Santander ferry to Denia on the coast which is approximately an 8 hour drive so this was a perfect place for a stopover as it is approximately 3 hours from Santander. Although it is a little distance from the motorway and in a quiet town it was great. The building was formerly part of a monastery and the high ceilinged rooms were very atmospheric. Our room was clean, had good air conditioning and WiFi. There were church bells which stopped in the early evening so they weren’t a problem. There’s an outside area where you can sit in the shade under trees and have a drink. We had an evening meal there in the lovely dining room which we thought was excellent value at 17 euros each. We had homemade vegetable soup/a homemade leek pasty for starters served with bread. Our main courses were homemade pork ragout and chicken with a pepper and honey marinade. There were served with a few chips and vegetables. Dessert was nougat ice cream or a chocolate pastry with ice cream There were other choices and we felt the portions were about the right size although a few more chips and vegetables would have been good. .A selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were available. We also had breakfast for 6.50 euros each. There was fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, cheese, ham with a delicious homemade tomato accompaniment. There were other dishes to choose from and eggs for an additional small charge. Our room was 72 euros. We thought this was excellent value compared to Paradores we have stayed in, some with unfriendly staff. When we left the owners gave us a map so we did a slight detour to see the national park that is desert like with unusual rock formations, Bardenes Reales. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Pro: Las duenas were very nice, made me feel welcome. Room had a great view, was quiet, and warm, Con: smoked-in. The tobacco odor was a big negative for me.

Lugar limpio, silencioso, tranquilo y se aparca bien. La Señora Reyes, amabilidad, ganas de facilitar todo, cenas muy bien. Habitaciones espaciosas, muy bien acondicionadas. De los sitios para volver siempre que vaya por Navarra. Gracias

La façade de l'hotel est magnifique ! Passé l'entrée, l'intérieur est plus classique. La chambre à l'étage est simple et assez grande. L'espace toilette est accessible via une porte coulissante qui manque un peu d'intimité. Le petit déjeuner en mode buffet est simple et bon mais pas varié. Le diner, différent tous les soirs, propose entrée - plat - dessert pour 17€ : bon rapport qualité prix ! La ville de Villafranca où se situe l'hotel est quasi déserte, avec peu de commerces.
