Prado Vilamoura - Prado do Golf

Spacious quiet family apartments. Pool area adequate for size of complex and enjoyed by children. Pool area could potentially be slightly better maintained. Bar area nice for an afternoon drink, service and staff good. Apartments clean and maintained regularly throughout our stay. Air Conditioning leaked but was fixed during our stay. My only frustration was, when we arrived we were originally offered a ground floor apartment near reception and close to drive. I was disappointed how dark it was, no sun on balcony. I enquired if there was an alternative. Was told absolutely no alternative as fully booked. As we started to settled, after few hours, it became evident that air conditioning was leaking excessively. I complained again stating I really wasn’t happy. We were then shown to a bright sunny quieter first floor apartment on the other side of the complex. It was obvious throughout our stay that the complex was no where near full, many apartments appeared vacant. It is frustrating that they weren’t honest when I first enquired about an alternative. The new apartment transformed our holiday experience so I would encourage people persevere if not happy with the original apartment offered. Overall, our holiday in the alternative apartment was lovely. It was quiet, spacious, bright and comfortable. It was a great base for exploring the Algarve with our hire car. We had wonderful days out to Lagos, Albuferia beaches, Silves and Sagres. Good supermarket near by. Would highly recommend a hire car for ease of exploring from this location

We have just returned from a 5 day break in this little beautiful spot. Downloaded the Uber app and it’s a great way to get around - cheaper than local taxis. Costs anywhere from €2.50 -€4.50 to travel to marina which is beautiful and excellent for a night out. Such a pretty place. Taxi to Albuferia old town cost around €12 euros. Which is excellent for people watching. Every bar and restaurant you can imagine. Prqdo do golf was cleaned every 2 days. People were lovely especially the reception ladies. Went out of their way to help you. Breakfast for the 4 days was served to the table, however on day 5 it was a Buffett style, not on hot plates so by the time we got there everything was cold. A new young girl was very stressed and moody as there was only herself and the chef working on this morning. She just needs to be reminded she is providing a service, and when asked about a hot plate not to shout “I don’t speak English! This was our only let down of the holiday. Shame when we were looking forward to our breakfast. Pool area was kept clean however I didn’t see a pool attendant to clean the pool. We would definitely return to this place. The room had everything from a hairdryer to washing machine. Which is great if you didn’t want to do your washing at home. Thank you for a lovely break in the sunshine

Little gem in Vilamoura, apartment E was our first given place which wasn't good for my elderly father as the small path was a little bit rocky when I brought this up the next morning we were instantly moved to a new apartment D2 our holiday started after that. The apartment itself was spotless and had all the home comforts like washing machine and dishwasher, kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our outside light wasn't working and repair men were there within minutes to fix the issue nothing seemed a problem. Beautiful little pool area with bar that serves food and drinks until 8pm. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. Housekeeping was done twice during our 7 night stay given fresh towels and loo roll again lovley staff that couldn't do enough to help. The area itself is an uber/bolt ride away costing around 5euro to get to marina.

This is a really lovely quiet chilled little hotel/apartments. The staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. Place is very clean. Quite a small pool with a few comfortable sun beds. The snack bar sold drinks and snacks. Breakfast was served here and very fresh and adequate, although if there is a criticism it would be that breakfast doesn’t start until 9am, which is a little late. Our apartment was spotless and was very modern. Housekeeping every day. Even had a washing machine and dishwasher, although didn’t use! Very close to Vilamoura marina where lovely restaurants are. Just a short taxi ride there. The Old golf course is a two minute taxi ride uphill and 10 minute walk back downhill. So convenient for a few other golf courses too. We really enjoyed our week there.

Jet 2 and owners photos do not show how 'tired' the accomodation actually is. Jet 2 also don't tell you that arriving early does not mean you get access to your rooms. We had to wait at the pool bar for 3+ hours. Having looked at our assigned accomodation we raised concerns re broken floor tiles, mould, old, stained, tired fixtures and fittings. We were moved to 'better' rooms.

After seeing some bad reviews on here, I was worried regards our stay .But I can happily says the accommodation was fine ,yes areas like sofa and kitchen decor needs updating, but was fine for our stay .Great value ,very spacious, son loved having his own room now turned adult ,we was given another key so he had his independence. The pool at times we had to ourselves ,which was fab .The step ladder does need to be more secure ,moved alot .So used permanent steps other end into the pool .Was brilliant having iron ,for my son as he needs to look the part lol .Washing machine was fab to wash beach towels ,dry on large balcony. Bar staff lovely ,only downsides was limited food choice .The walk into the marina is 45 min ,me and hubby both used our fitness watches got same time .we both good walkers so fine for us and lovely to walk thru the park .But coming back of an evening not as confident ,but we downloaded uber app and prices were 4 to 5 euros from museum cerro da villa estacao (roman ruins ) just up the stairs from marina onto main road .Big downside was arrival ,as no rep when dropped off ,we got to reception shut with side back at 14pm was half 12pm .No signs ,so I have no idea where to go!!lucky fellow holiday maker showed us where pool bar was ,so up the hill case's went to bar ,explained just arrived ,said can wait here .So we had food ,drink ,went to reception 14pm now sign said half two !! Reception were lovely once open ,but do think we should of been advised where to go ? Sign posts ? Someone there if know arrivals ? Keys given to bar ? Just not a great start after leaving house half 3am in morning and not knowing what's happening. The rest of holiday fine ,let us leave luggage in reception as being picked up 15.20pm onwards and out of room 11am
