Hotel Tabor Rooms

My overall experience with this hotel was quite unpleasant. We made a reservation through Booking, opting to pay upon arrival. However, despite the hotel having a 24/7 reception, the confirmation email stated a check-in deadline of midnight. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed, and our attempts to contact the hotel were in vain as the phone rang endlessly without any response or voicemail. Upon reaching Vienna, we were shocked to find that although our Booking reservation was intact, someone on the hotel's end had inexplicably canceled it during the day shift. Consequently, the hotel was unprepared for our arrival. Fortunately, the night shift receptionist managed to find us a room, albeit at a higher rate than the one we had booked on ***********. Nevertheless, the situation didn't improve as we encountered further issues. One of the available rooms was locked and inaccessible, while the second one had a broken window. Given our urgent need for accommodation, we reluctantly settled for the latter, with the promise from the receptionist that we would be relocated the following day when other rooms became available. The room change did occur, but it was a bit delayed, and we had to wait until the afternoon for it to happen, while being asked to vacate the old room in the morning. Regarding the room conditions, we were aware that it was a budget hotel, so our expectations were not high. The rooms were reasonably spacious, but the condition of the walls with peeling paint, damaged electrical outlets, and some dirt here and there left much to be desired. Furthermore, on the last day of our stay, the main light in the room was non-functional (presumably due to a burnt-out bulb), and rather than requesting a repair, we made do with using our phone torches. One puzzling hotel policy required guests to leave their room keys at the reception whenever they went out and retrieve them upon their return. Unfortunately, the receptionists were hardly ever present, and a sign stating "A receptionist will soon be here" was merely wishful thinking. This resulted in long lines of frustrated guests at night, unable to access their room keys or contact the receptionist due to the lack of a phone number or bell. Strangely enough, there were instances when the keys were left unattended on the counter, making them accessible to anyone, whether they were legitimate guests or potential thieves. This lack of security was concerning and added to the overall negative experience. On a positive note, the hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to the metro within a 5-minute walk and St. Stephen's Cathedral reachable within 10 to 15 minutes on foot.

One of the worst hotels to book. I booked for two nights through *********** and hotel tabor tried to authorise my card three times without any success. I had put in three different cards, all of which are working. They then cancelled my booking last minute which was very rude despite me and *********** trying to contact them. I then looked at the site they still had 4 rooms available all at which had doubled the price. Dont ever book with these guys as you will get complications!! Very unprofessional

Cuando hicimos la reserva, sabíamos que no iba a ser un hotel de lujo e íbamos con las expectativas bastante bajas, pero cuando llegamos fue aún peor. La moqueta no se ha limpiado desde la 2 guerra mundial y hay desperfectos por toda la habitación. Ni siquiera tiene un par de enchufes al lado de la cama para cuando llegues después de un largo día de turismo poder cargar tu teléfono, únicamente una regleta para tres enchufes al lado del armario y un ruidoso y pequeño ventilador. Lo mejor de todo vino cuando traté de buscar una solución ante tal esperpento. Al hacer el check in, el front desk estaba renovado y nos dimos cuenta de que eran 2 hoteles, al pedirle un upgrade a la recepcionista al otro hotel por bastante dinero extra y cuando nos lo había confirmado y estaba gestionando en el sistema, llegó lo que parecía ser su encargado, el cual empezó a gritarle, mirarla con un desprecio absoluto y dejarla en mal lugar delante nuestra (lamentable forma de tratar a un empleado, no me quiero ni imaginar como tratará a sus empleados cuando no hay clientes). El señor con aspecto bastante informal y de malas maneras nos dice que no nos podemos cambiar ni pagando, que nuestra habitación ya estaba usada cuando no habíamos tocado nada!!!! Para colmo, pedimos la devolución de la segunda noche para irnos de allí como fuese y este mismo individuo nos dijo que si, que ya lo estaba gestionando y que nos podíamos marchar. La devolución nunca llegó. RETRÓGRADO, MACHISTA, INEPTO, POCO PROFESIONAL Y MENTIROSO!!! En definitiva, si no quieres pasar una horrible estancia mejor no reserves este hotel, paga algo más si quieres estar por el centro o busca mejores opciones a las afueras, con la Viena Card no tendrás problema en moverte en metro, bus o tranvía.

El hotel está mal indicado porque en el letrero pone "Florum Hotel" y en un cartel minúsculo en la pared se puede leer "Tabor Rooms" lo que ya da lugar a equívoco cuando uno se encuentra en el extranjero. Por lo que se ve, las primeras plantas del hotel se encuentran reformadas mientras que las últimas dejan mucho que desear. Lo peor de todo fue que las almohadas eran muy delgadas e incómodas, motivo por el cual pedimos en recepción si nos podían facilitar otra almohada que nos trajeron al poco rato. Cual fue mi sorpresa cuando el día de marchar del hotel en el momento del "check out" nos dicen que hay que pagar un suplemento por las "extra pillow" a lo cual me negué porque considero que tenían que habernos informado previamente sobre que esa petición llevaba un recargo, concepto que no me he encontrado jamás en ningún otro hotel de todos en los que me he alojado viajando alrededor del mundo.
