Insika Lodge

The lodge is well-designed, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are all extremely polite and pleasant. The menu is adequate and nicely presented.

We stayed 3 nights here. 6 family members. I thought the place, food and staff were outstanding! The food and drinks ( when finally delivered…) were Excellant!!!!! The rooms were cool and refreshing since the temp is 104 degrees… the limited privacy for bathing was fine for us but could be a problem… Excellant lodge in all aspects…. Pool area very nice and friendly cats begging for leftovers.

The whole Estinian tourists group enjoyed a few days at Victoria Falls being accommodated in Insika Lodge. This is a wonderful combination of beautiful natural architecture with the comfortable furnishings of the buildings, excellent service and varied, delicious food.

Insika Lodge went above and beyond for myself and friend and I could not recommend them enough when in Victoria Falls. Krishna, one of the general managers, went absolutely above and beyond as we suffered car troubles before leaving and made sure to find space to extend our stay before we even asked, call all local connections to come and assist (including himself) and just keeping our minds at ease and making sure everything was taken care of and ran smoothly for our extended stay. This was my first visit to Insika and it will definitely not be my last! Starting with the tasteful decor that relates to the rich African culture without being kitsch or in your face and beautiful layout of the lodge. The staff were always readily available with a smile, joke, cheer and helpful hand. The food and drink was top notch and I would often rather polish the whole plate than let any of the tasty meals go to waste. Our barman was always ready when we needed a refill and often intuitively had our next round ready. The landscape is something to be rivalled, not just the location especially the pool which looks onto a small watering hole where I saw warthog, buck and a tawny eagle but even in-between rooms where a garden oasis has been created. The accommodation was just as incredible with big, comfortable beds, block out curtains, spacious showers and once again tastefully decorated. This was not the only things Insika offers, through them you can organise tours and trips which we did not do but we did go for an afternoon cruise on the Zambezi Vista, a barge where one could view elephants swimming, hippo's, crocodiles all while trying the most delicious appetizers and cocktails and relaxing with friends while the sun set. This is an experience I highly recommend and exceeded expectations. If I had to nit-pick the only criticism was the restaurant staff sometimes functions on African time but unless you were in a rush, you would hardly notice. To wrap up, I couldn't of had a more restful and wonderful trip even with all my additional car problems anywhere else besides Insika because of their phenomenal hospitality! Special mention to Krishna for everything, we will be back sans car trouble as soon as possible! Things not to be missed: - Cocktails at the pool - Swimming and lounging - Breakfast!!! - Lunch!! - Dinner! - Zambezi Vista
