Posizionato in centro ad un passo dal fiume. Attesa di una decina di minuti alla reception sguarnira, poi l'addetto è stato gentile. Camera minuscola al primo piano senza aria condizionata e con bagno piccolissimo. Soffione della doccia non regolabile da tenere in mano, cuscino molle dove la testa affonda totalmente. Colazione discreta, tavoli non apparecchiati, ti devi prendere posate e tovaglioli da solo; prodotti invece accettabili come qualità. Una notte è via...

Hotel Petry in Vianden offers a fantastic experience with a great selection of local beers and a beautiful setting right in the heart of the town of Vianden. The large terrace is perfect for enjoying a drink on a warm day, with plenty of shade provided by large umbrellas. The staff were friendly and efficient, even when a large group of 20–30 children arrived, we were still served quickly. The prices are excellent too; you can get two beers for under 10 euros, which is a rarity for local brews in other regions like the Netherlands. Parking is conveniently located nearby, making it easy to visit. Highly recommended!

Basic hotel and facilities. Room is large and comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Off street car parking available. Food wasnt the best seem to speclise in pizzas. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. If you looking for a reasonable comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. This is the one

When staying in this small town, this hotel a great place to stay. Our room was charming, but large and the hospitality was great. There is an excellent restaurant and bar attached. The food was great. We never bought the breakfast as there is a nice bakery/coffee shop just across the river. Be sure to take the chairlift up for great views (it is an easy walk to get to the base in toen) and then go see the castle (easy walk down a hill to get to the castle from top of chair). Then after seeing the castle it is an easy walk down the hill back into town. You can do it oppositely, but it is more work of course as it will be uphill. One day is plenty to see the town. A small parking lot offers free parking for hotel guests.

We had a good welcome to Hotel Petry, we were early but we were able to check-in as our room was ready. We booked a Deluxe Room which was on the first floor, it was extremely spacious and well appointed. The room had a sofa bed, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a lot of storage space. The bathroom was fine with a powerful shower and a large bathtub, wall mounted soap dispensers were provided. The buffet style breakfast each morning was outstanding, there was an extensive selection available. The breakfast was available at extra cost but respresented incredible value for money. We had a takeaway pizza from the onsite restaurant one evening as we hadn't booked a table in advance, it was delicious. Hotel Petry is conveniently located in the centre of Vianden, it is a delightful hotel with friendly and efficient staff and hopefully we will be able to stay again in the future.

hotel is ok but not at all happy with 2 issues. firstly no key available for room safe. also no internet . wasnt told this until after i had paid bill at check in as requested at reception. would not have booked this hotel if no safe or internet offered. will not return.

A good hotel, very welcoming and the person on the desk spoke perfect English and could help us out. Good parking. Great location. We booked breakfast which was ok but not as good as others we've had in Europe (but €13pp was higher than we'd usually have paid). We were advised to book a table at the hotel restaurant as it would get busy so we did, but I think we should have gone elsewhere. The food was good but not great. We had pizzas which were supposedly famous but honestly they were very basic. The service wasn't great either, we waited 45 minutes for our food, no one came to offer more drinks, staff were hard to wave down, when I finally got someone I asked about our food and he disappeared to find out, did not return to update us, and then our food arrived about 10 mins later piping hot, so I suspect we were forgotten and it was rushed through. Nobody came to tell us any more, apologise, offer free drinks etc. The desserts similarly were good but not great. The restaurant also was popular but not rammed full so I suspect they asked us to book so that we would definitely eat there. On the whole would definitely stay at the hotel again, room was very good & a great price and a fan was provided as it was warm, but probably wouldn't do breakfast or dinner here again. I do strongly advise a trip to Vianden, it's a charming little town with a very impressive castle overlooking the valley.

We drove all the way from Bruges, through Brussels and Wallonia, and then some German fields dusted with snow. Luxembourg appeared out of nowhere on the crest of a wooded hill, and then Vianden five mins after that. On a cold day, Hotel Petry was a warm suite with a chateau-style window that looked out across the river valley and the tiny town clinging to it. Hotel Petry is one of those places you only seem to get in the Rhineland, where everything's pretty but not showy, and everything works. The beds are soft and the showers are hot and strong. The staff all speak English and three other languages. The restaurant serves good quality local dishes, and the beer goes down unpretentiously well. It's quite literally two doors along from Victor Hugo's House, and after around 90 mins visiting inside we walked across the bridge and up the cobbled hill as gentle snowflakes started to fall. We'll go back again one of these Winters, in the hope that we can have another evening like it.

We have stayed here many times before, but covid created an annoying hiatus. So it was nice to be back this year again. I always say that it's easy to look good when everything is going well and that the true test is when there is a problem. This time there was. Our room had a number of issues, none of them major, but collectively it meant it really wasn’t great. The hotel was full, so a room change wasn’t possible that night, but for the second night of our two night stay we were swapped, not just to another room but upgraded to what we reckoned was one of the best in the hotel. They serviced this room very early so we could move and still benefit from the majority of the day and enjoy the village and the hotel's facilities, which are excellent. There is a vast terrace which they use to serve evening meals when the weather is warm enough. It wasn’t on this occasion but we did enjoy a very good flammkuche at lunchtime in the pleasant autumn sunshine. Having had that we decided to go lighter on our evening meal (the first night’s vast portions in mind). But the salade paysanne was also enormous (and delicious). The wine choices are good. We stuck with carafe wine that was very good value. I should also mention that breakfasts here are also very good with a excellent choice of fresh items. So, a problem this time – but we will be back as soon as we can!
