Eringer Hotel

Anche se abbiamo apprezzato il nostro soggiorno di 5 notti in questo hotel, non è proprio adatto a noi. L'hotel si trova sotto Thyon e sebbene abbia accesso diretto alle piste del nuovo impianto di risalita Les Masses (e quasi sciare - devi percorrere un sentiero ghiacciato per raggiungere la pista), è all'estremità delle 4 -vallees che rendono lo sci a Siviez, Nendaz e Verbier una seccatura. Questa estremità delle 4 valli non è così unita come potrebbe essere! L'hotel in sé è nuovo e sembra elegante e contemporaneo. La nostra camera era sufficiente per 2 ma non direi che fosse spaziosa. Il nostro bagno era abbastanza grande ma aveva solo la doccia (per me andava bene). La colazione era accettabile senza essere eccezionale e la gamma piuttosto limitata di opzioni significava che mi annoiavo dopo il 3 ° giorno. Abbiamo mangiato al ristorante una sera e abbiamo trovato il cibo gustoso ma il servizio era molto lento. C'è una grande e nuova spa dove sono stata una volta. Non so spiegare perché, ma non mi è piaciuto: per lo più era pieno di residenti non alberghieri che visitavano la spa e c'erano anche molti bambini che correvano quando ho visitato. Tutto sommato questa era semplicemente la posizione sbagliata per noi, ma per una gita in montagna di 3 o 4 giorni, questo potrebbe essere l'ideale per alcuni.

Se volete vivere il vero Canton Vallese: evitatelo! La posizione è meravigliosa nella Val d'Hérens, ma non ci si sente affatto locali.. era come essere da qualche parte nell'Alta Savoia in Francia.. È deludente vedere che, anche se nuovo, già molti dettagli stanno svanendo.. dà l'impressione di essere gestito male, con pochissima cura dei dettagli.... Non ho bisogno del lusso, ma quando prenoto un hotel che dice di essere 4* allora mi aspetto 4*... Info: la Spa non lo è parte dell'hotel, sono bagni pubblici, nemmeno della stessa compagnia, nonostante siano nello stesso posto. Personalmente ho riscontrato errori anche durante il check-out: volevano fatturare più di quanto confermato via e-mail.... Una nota positiva: la camera era fantastica, pulita e abbiamo dormito bene.

Siamo stati benissimo alla spa. È splendidamente progettato con viste spettacolari sulle montagne ed è molto pulito. Nuotare all'aperto nelle calde acque termali ammirando le montagne e le piste è stata un'esperienza fantastica. Anche la sauna aveva una vista mozzafiato. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare!

we had a superb weekend. I particularly liked the room and we were able to enjoy the wonderful spa every day. The staff was attentive and we loved the energy of François Marie. we already book for next year, I highly recommend this hotel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Really beautiful setting and hotel, but let down by (what I thought) was pretty amateurish and inexperienced staff. I also had an incident in the garage which the hotel has ignored, so other cars might suffer the same damage: the ceiling is leaking a calcium deposit which is impossible to remove. My emails alerting the hotel to the problem were ignored, as were my numerous phone calls.

Beautiful brand new hotel in thyon. Very nice views and restaurants. Rooms not big but convenient and well done. Staff is very nice and helpful. Lobby/bar is simply amazing. Restaurant is good but still getting into real shape (just opened). Spa not done yet but very curious to see when finished

Beautiful hotel with a lot of potential but not yet ready for take off. Especially the kitchen needs some more time to operate smoothly. Both the dinners and breakfasts took ages with many mistakes (but the food itself was good). The staff was super friendly and offered us free desserts etc. So we hope that things get better and that many people can enjoy the beautiful place.

Having spent 3 days trying to find any accommodation in any resort in Switzerland having had our trip to France covid cancelled I came across the Eringer. A look on Google maps showed a field so I initially assumed a scam. But no. A call to the hotel and a bit of internet research proved otherwise. With 2 days before departing I booked a room for me and my 16 year old son. The staff on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. On arrival we struggled to find the parking but found it after a few wrong turns. The parking area and underground floors were definitely still a work in progress. The rest of the hotel (aside the unfinished Spa) is amazing. The bar and reception area is stunning. All of the staff couldn’t be more helpful and the director worked tirelessly with the team to iron out the inevitable early *******. Lots of things will no doubt improve (more hooks in the room etc) as the hotel is finished. The outdoor deck bar will also be potentially amazing but wasn’t open yet. I joke that it isn’t ski in / out but the 14 steps isn’t exactly a trial! Plans are afoot to make it ski in / out to the door. This hotel in Verbier would cost a small fortune but in this lesser known valley, it is affordable and the Verbier skiing 4 lifts away. The rooms are fine and functional. No bath in most rooms which some may miss after a long days skiing. Amazing views on one side so worth requesting a valley view. The only minor downsides:- is it is a quiet area of the village with only 2 other restaurants in walking distance (5- 10 mins or so) which were fully booked every night (both are also excellent) and an adequate supermarket about the same distance…. And:- Ski rental shops are not close, so a drive or bus is needed to sort. But collapsing in the bar next to the fire, moving one floor to the restaurant for a basic spaghetti bolognese or excellent 3 course meal and then taking the lift to your room is very relaxing and convenient. Would definitely recommend for all different groups of travellers. All age groups were there from toddlers to teens, and numerous dogs… and everyone we spoke to enjoyed their stay. To start with the positive elements, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, tastefully decorated and perfectly located. It is an ideal ski in/out base. The rooms are small but cosy and functional and we got upgraded to panorama rooms which boast amazing views on the valley. BUT… the hotel is so new that the whole area is still under construction and the valley view was partially obstructed by a crane. We were lucky to be there on a week-end but I can’t imagine the noise during the week. The staff is nice and mostly helpful but seems a bit lost and disorganised. We travel with two kids and asked for connecting rooms despite confirming that they had only a few connecting rooms, the hotel confirmed we would at least have two rooms next to each other but we got allocated rooms on each end of the wing. We eventually got two rooms next to each other with a door closing the access to the end of the corridor making it like a small apar**ent and after some back and forth for key cards not working we eventually settled in. There are not tea/coffee making facilities. A bit odd for a four star resort. But we got a kettle delivered to the room. Fun fact : I called from the room and got a call back a few minutes later to ask me in which room I was in… Unfortunately the bed was stone hard and the hotel had not yet acquired mattress toppers. But will they? So we had two very bad night of sleep. Shouldn’t it be an hotel’s top priority to offer decent sleep? We had booked an half-board package as the hotel advertises two restaurants : Italian and traditional Swiss so we went for dinner. Actually there is only one restaurant mixing both menus. The receptionist agreed that they knew how terrible the restaurant is and that it is miles from a 4 star resort standing but unfortunately they cannot do anything about it as it is managed by a third party. Then why advertise, sell and charge for a service you know you can’t deliver? Fortunately we managed to get a refund for the second night dinner and went outside for a lovely meal at La Cambuse nearby. Unfortunately that same shameful restaurant also provides breakfast which kills a bit more the overall experience : Stale pastries, no hot food apart from eggs (but it takes them 3 times to make a sunny side up egg that is not smashed), industrial juices and cakes that they don't even bother taking out of the original packaging, low quality cold cuts and cheap smoked salmon served on its supermarket packaging! Definitely not a 4 star experience. Opening a new hotel is a challenge and it is normal to experience a few mishaps as long as management shows proactivity and works on taking corrective actions. It has now been two weeks that we wrote the hotel with our comments and to book a future stay next year (once problems would be solved and the area completed).
