Hotel in zona La Petite Chocolaterie, Versailles

This hotel is perfect in every way. The location , the staff, the breakfast and the bed. We had the most amazing nights at this hotel. I seriously would recommend it. There is no restaurant for supper in the hotel, but just walk out the door and there is a great selection of restaurants. Asian, Indian and traditional French. all of which we great value for money. Thank to all the staff who made this stay so good.

La posizione è molto buona. C'è un piccolo giardino vicino, un centro di servizio pubblico, e il personale di servizio è molto entusiasta.Il capo è cinese.

We visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was. The staff on reception were professional and welcoming, speaking a number of different languages, including English, as did all the staff we encountered during our stay. I was so thankful for this as I saw one of the reviews which stated an expectation to speak French, this was simply not the case for us. We had a fabulous spacious 4th floor room on the park side with a small balcony. The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in so far and the slippers provided, a much better quality that those in other hotels and we have been to a fair few. The bathroom was great, but just a word of caution if having a soak in the tub as it’s very prone to slipping due to the shape. A rubber mat for inside the bath is provided for you to use. Breakfast was a buffet only (no menu) and was very limited, although you can order a number of different egg dishes. There was just one chef and a bit of a queue. I don’t think this was unusual as there was a polite notice asking guests to come back once they have placed their order, which I did and maybe I shouldn’t have as it seemed that my order was then put on the back burner. I know this as I saw countless others guest getting their orders in and receiving their dishes before me. It’s only when I approached the station that the chef then went to get my order. The eggs Benedict received was ok but very close to being hard boiled and I prefer a runny yolk. The breakfast experience overall was ok, with staff being very polite when you asked them something, but this could have been better by them checking in to see if we had everything we needed, e.g. more coffee. I always think when it comes to hotels and indeed in life that ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ and so far this year we’ve had exceptional service at breakfast from the Westin Palace Madrid and a truly amazing buffet with options to order extra dishes at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, both of which renewed my faith in the hotel breakfast experience, so I know more can be done here at this hotel. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was a good size. The gym was amazing if you like like to keep your exercise up whilst away and the staff were very friendly. A tip for guests wanting to visit Versailles Palace & gardens, get you tickets from the concierge if you haven’t booked in advance. Indeed we hadn’t booked in advance and there were no tickets on the website when looked, so we were so relieved when we asked the concierge about this. One of the highlights of our stay has to be the view from our balcony at night of the Bastille fireworks, this was simply outstanding and totally unexpected, an experience which we aim to replicate next year and will return. Per visitare Versailles scegliamo questo Relais & Chateaux a pochi minuti di macchina, immerso nel verde del Parco di Saint Cloud, dove abbiamo trascorso 2 notti. Accoglienza ottima da parte del personale di Reception, garage gratuito, Junior Suite con ampio terrazzo attrezzato, tranquillo, e rilassante vista sul parco. Piccolo omaggio dolce come soci R&C, in bagno oltre alle solite toiletries c’erano anche peeling, creme e maschere, un'attenzione in più. Peccato il personale a colazione, svogliato e disinteressato, decisamente non in linea con il resto dello staff. Una mattina una cliente ha dovuto entrare in cucina per chiamare gli addetti perchè erano spariti e non c’era nessuno in sala…malissimo. Anche noi abbiamo avuto un paio di spiacevoli episodi con loro, piccole cose che però non devono succedere e delle quali abbiamo parlato con la Responsabile della Reception. Il buffet per colazione discreto, anche con qualcosa di tipicamente francese (il clafoutis per esempio) benché spiccatamente sbilanciato sul dolce. Bella terrazza che sembrava in uso per la colazione (come dettoci al check-in) ma che invece non lo era, spiegazione del motivo non pervenuta (non pioveva, non faceva freddo…c’erano tutte le condizioni per fare colazione fuori ma la risposta alla nostra richiesta è stata un laconico “no”). Turn down ben eseguito con acqua, biscotti e tisane. Un piacevole indirizzo, peccato davvero per il pessimo staff della colazione, ma bene tutto il resto, quindi giudizio positivo.

The Jardin de Saint Cloud exceeded expectations! When booking, I had read reviews complaining that it was far from Central Paris, which it true- its in Saint Cloud. So if that is a concern it may not be a fit. However, it was perfect for us! We were visiting friends in Saint Cloud. The Jardin allowed us to take public transit into Central Paris. It is across the street from the T2, a shot walk to one of the M lines, and a VERY steep walk to the L. We easily got to our activities in the city each morning and returned each afternoon in time to visit with our friends for the evening. The rooms were clean and far more spacious than I anticipated (we did book a suite). The pool was great for my 9 year old and breakfast was enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful! If we are lucky enough to return to France to visit our friends again, we will 100% book here again!

Noi, due adulti, due bambini, abbiamo prenotato una notte per un soggiorno di notte sulla nostra strada. La posizione è convenientemente situata dalle autostrade (appr 15 min) in una zona verde lussuosa dell'Università di Saclay. Il check-in è stato veloce e il ricevitore è molto accogliente in francese o in inglese. La nostra camera d'appartamento ha una camera separata con un letto matrimoniale e in camera d'appartamento/cucina un altro grande divano/doppio/letto. L'appartamento era pulito e abbastanza spazioso. Le camere sono belle, pulite e sicure come nel lato del paese, ma molto vicino a Parigi (45 min da RER).

L'orario previsto è molto vicino all'orario dell'hotel e ho prenotato questo hotel con un bell'aspetto e un design. È a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione Gentilly sulla linea B. Il personale è molto cordiale ed entusiasta. L'isolamento acustico della stanza è nella media.

Excellent business hotel. Room size was excellent, with everything you need. Like many places nowadays, there is a coffee pod machine - I can never understand why these machines are not left full of water and switched on - i.e. ready to use. They are all the same - black and chrome, and easy enough to use when you know, but nigh-on impossible to work out how to use them when you've never seen them before, and the black switch on the black background is at the back of a black machine in a dark moodily-lit room on a black shelf. The best thing about the room was the view - a huge picture window looking south towards the centre of Paris with Montmatre and the Eiffel Tower in view. That's the advantage of a room on the 6th floor - colleagues on the lower floors didn't have the same view of course. The breakfast was great - everything needed. Overall I'd be happy to stay here again.
