La posizione è strategica ma la nostra camera che dava sulla piazza principale non è stata una delle migliori che abbia mai avuto perché dal giovedì notte a tutto il week end si sentivano urla e grida di persone che uscivano o entravano nei locali. La colazione non è male sia per il dolce che per il salato. Letto non ortopedico e privo dei nostri materassi ma complessivamente discreto. Disponibili in camera sempre 2 bottigliette di acqua. Canali TV quasi esclusivamente Olandesi. Nessun canale Italiano o francese o spagnolo. Poco luce vicino nell'area del tavolo quindi difficoltà a lavorare con PC.

Siamo rimasti qui qualche volta prima. Purtroppo, durante una visita precedente, era durante le vacanze scolastiche, ma questa volta era fuori dalle vacanze scolastiche. Questa volta, è stato come le nostre esperienze precedenti: un bellissimo hotel tranquillo con un buon servizio in una bella zona per camminare in natura. Durante le vacanze scolastiche, abbiamo trovato l'hotel troppo occupato con famiglie rumorose, ma se vuoi un bel hotel fuori dalle vacanze scolastiche, questo è un posto davvero piacevole per soggiornare.

Abbiamo richiesto 3 letti, così erano nelle vecchie camere parti non così bello come le nuove , nessuna scheda di ferro, ( dovevo chiedere la ricezione per una) 5 pendenti per 3 persone ancora dovevo chiedere di più, Il barista è molto brusco e molto brutto, sembra che non si diverta dal suo lavoro, era lo stesso l'anno scorso. Abbiamo controllato in modo da poter fare un soggiorno di 4 notti con colazione per solo 3 mattine, per la nostra prenotazione come incerto che tempo abbiamo lasciato l'ultima mattina, quando siamo andati a colazione sembrava che il ricevitore aveva rimosso tutto il nostro colazione così malcomunicazione, per essere incontrato di nuovo un ricevitore molto brutale che non si è mai scusato per l'errore del personale e ha cercato di rimproverarci. La gelato sulla torta era purtroppo che mia figlia aveva rubato le orecchie, e noi siamo usciti tutto il fine settimana, quindi non aveva alcun senso per loro solo per il viaggio a casa, che è quando ha notato che erano state rimosse dalla borsa. Se sapessimo che potremmo metterli in un tracciatore, sarebbe la prova, l'hotel non offre TV CC e diciamo solo che non sono stati trovati.

What a lovely place! The room is clean and spacious. Enough storage possibilities. We found the crew very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers a lot of information and discounts for activities around Arcen. Our room was located next to the garden opposite the restaurant. Very confenient :-) We thought it might be noisy but it wasn't at all.

A group of six of us stayed at the Maashof hotel on what was the last night of a 10 day motorcycle tour and it was also my birthday. I had carefully chosen the hotel in the hope that we would have a lovely stay and dinner in a beautiful lakeside location. Unfortunately there were several issues which cast a significant shadow over my birthday celebrations and ruined our stay. The problems started when checking in when they overcharged two of my friends and they would have overcharged another friend and myself, had I not noticed and intervened. I had booked four single occupancy rooms and one double occupancy room and there was an administrative issue between *********** and the hotel which caused confusion over how many guests were staying in each room, despite the hotel having the names of the six guests against each booked room. All of us were asked when checking in how many guests were staying in each room, but despite this two friends were charged the double occupancy room rate and one friend was charged for two half board dinners despite them all being in rooms on their own. In addition, they also attempted to overcharge us for the half board option despite me accepting a special offer online which had been emailed to me prior to arrival. We then had a further major issue. Three of the rooms were directly underneath the kitchen and hotel entrance and were extremely noisy until very late in the evening and again the next morning starting around 5.30am which meant several of us had a very disturbed night. Two of my friends complained at the time and agreed with the duty manager that they would have the full cost of their room refunded, as he was unable to offer them an alternative room. He advised them that if we had wanted better, quieter rooms we should have booked directly with the hotel rather than through *********** and he told my friend to email the Reservations Manager regarding the refund. The hotel management have admitted that the rooms we stayed in are very noisy, but there was no mention of this when we booked and they still charged the full room rate. On our return to the UK, I emailed the Reservations Manager and following many exchanges she offered a 25% refund for the three rooms most affected by the noise, despite the duty manager’s earlier promise of a full refund. Personally I thought this paltry offer did not provide sufficient remuneration for the problems we encountered but I felt I had no choice but to accept. I subsequently provided my bank details in an email but the refund was not forthcoming. I chased regularly by email as to why the refund was taking so long only to be told cross-border, cross-currency bank transfers take a long time and ”it will arrive within a few days” and then “as soon as possible”. Despite these repeated assurances it took 3 weeks for me to receive the refund and only then after several more emails including to the hotel General Manager who at one point decided to attack my pe

We made this a stopover in our way to the Harz Mountains and it was a total treat - relaxed elegance. Would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the gardens next door and the ceramic museum. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, pretty terrace and picturesque moat. Only downside was they had fully booked the restaurant so we had to go elsewhere but this turned out to be a good move!
