We had booked for 2 days after checking the reviews given. As given in other reviews the path to reach is bit difficult but we feel happy after reaching as the entire place is decorated like a palace and maintained well. The checkin was smooth. Its a nice place for photoshoot. The rooms are spacious with good facility. Now looking at the points that are disappointing - 1. FOOD - The quality and taste of the food was the most disappointing of all. The breakfast buffet was manageable (Not great). Other than dinner for one night all other times (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) the food was very bad. They seem not to care about this and the quality was same in each meal. We had complained on this and demanded discount of the food price which was not even considered. I wanted to meet their Manager and complain on this. He was so busy that he could not come and meet me or even talk over phone. 2. Delay - We were told that any food ordered in their restaurant will take min 40 mins. To my surprise even a dosa took 50 mins and a coffee took 30 mins. Not sure whats the logic behind this. But we loose the interest to have food. We have to comply with their delay as you do not have any other option of restaurants nearby. 3. Room Service - Any thing that we need has to be informed multiple times and received in parts. The highlight was one night i was informed that we need to pay for Drinking water. We are expected to live with the 4 small bottles of water kept in the room for all the days we stay there. Received the bottles after questioning this logic. 4. Billing - Even though they refused to provide any discount for the hardships we faced, even the billing done was incorrect. They had duplicated one of the bill in the total. We had to point this out and get the billing corrected. Our expectation for a great vacation was not fulfilled. Overall a nice place for sightseeing and photos, but we will try a different place to stay the next time we want to visit Yelagiri.
