Hotel in zona Kriegs Denkmal Nierenhof, Velbert

The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. L'edificio è ben arredata, sembra un centro di allevamento. L'area di entrata è depressa, non si tratta di mobili o altri oggetti attraenti che forniscono all'ospite solo minimamente l'impressione e la sensazione di essere in un hotel. Il materasso (almeno nella mia stanza) è finito, l'appartamento è piuttosto modesto. Il bagno e la stanza erano puliti. Le pareti sono luminose e devo dire che i vicini hanno avuto una serata o una notte soddisfacente. Il prezzo di 70€ per una notte a due è piuttosto troppo alto per questo ”hotel” ma le esperienze costano soldi.

Prima Standort, um Essen zu erkunden - Folkwang-Museum, Ausgehmeile Rü und die Innenstadt in Laufweite, und andere Destinationen gut mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Praktisch: Parkplätze für 14 Euro/Tag direkt am Haus. Zimmer okay, vielleicht ein bisschen bemüht hip, aber das kann ja altersbedingte Geschmackssache sein. Extrapunkte für das supernette, superfixe, super engagierte Team am Empfang!

Parcheggio disponibile direttamente alla stazione principale del parcheggio. Attenzione: solo i ponti di parcheggio con numero non chiuso hanno accesso diretto all'ascensore dell'hotel. E anche allora non è sempre chiaro dove andare alla reception, perché l'ascensore si apre al ponte di parcheggio E alla reception. La reception è amichevole e professionale. La camera doppia standard è pulita e praticamente arredata. C'è un grande scrivania, il cassetto con cassaforte offre spazio per soggiorni brevi. Ci sono anche un sacco di spazio nel bagno. Il televisore ha pochi canali in una risoluzione immediatamente negativa dell'immagine. Radio non esiste. Dopo tutto: il WiFi stabile permette di streaming. Il buffet per colazione risolve tutti i problemi legati alla corona molto bene e con un servizio eccellente. Le specialità di caffè sono disponibili dall'auto, le uova sono preparate freschi.

Non saputo molto conveniente. Quando la stazione della metropolitana esce, arriva attraverso la strada opposta.La colazione è molto ricca, tutte le bevande di salsa e così via.Molte scelte.La progettazione della stanza è anche molto bella.Sceglierai l'hotel di nuovo.

Overall this hotel does exactly what it advertises, no more, no less. I was put in my own double by myself which was excellent and it had exactly everything I needed, a bed, a small but functional bathroom, space to store your items, small table, WiFi plus TV. The bed was well stocked with pillows, loads of sanitiser everywhere, and I had two comfortable nights in the hotel, I was booked breakfast which was classic German and there's enough space to sit down and eat your food and drink your drink. You don't need a key card but you do need a keycode, so make sure you take a picture of your number because to get it back you need ID, luckily receptionist was very helpful and accepted a photo of my ID. It's not too far from the town centre and well connected by rail, don't let the road or rail nearby put you off, I didn't hear a thing as it's in a quieter neighbourhood. The WiFi test, very good, bit laggy at times, but as I said, does the job and no messy sign in forms!

This is at best an Ibis-equivalent hotel. The receptionist even called it a motel. The room is small and poorly equipped. There is no coffee-machine although there is a kettle. One of the cups still had the last person's coffee rim stain. There is no air-conditioning, no fans available and it is hot and airless. The window can be opened but only if you are prepared to leave the curtains open and be in full view of people visiting the Mcdonalds opposite. The road noise is not great either. The restaurant is closed, but I was offered a microwaved mini pizza! If you must stay in a Mercure in the area, go to the Mercure City Nord in Düsseldorf.

Molto sperimentato! Alla nostra arrivo ci viene chiesto un supplemento di 15 euro per camera (5 camere)! Ci si spiega dove si trova il piccolo dj. Era 9 persone maggio non tutti si andava a prendere un piccolo dj la mattina. Arrivato al piccolo dj ci viene chiesto il numero della camera che è normale. Ma di officina ci fatturano 2 piccolo dj. Quindi alla fine ci rubano 5 piccolo dj (5 x 23 euro!) e ci si spiega che doveva annullare in anticipo coloro che non prendono! Dopo la mia camera non è stato pulito una sola volta in 4 giorni! La sauna in panchina 1 giorno su 4 e la cabina infrarossa non funzionava affatto. E il personale in vista dei piccoli dj molto sgradevole. Una catena di hotel che non vedremo mai più.

Quando ci siamo reclutati, un agente ci ha reclutati mentre gli altri due ci guardavano come se fossimo alieni. Uno di loro aveva un sorriso sul viso durante il check-in, volevo chiedere cosa pensava fosse così divertente con noi di andare in hotel, ma non volevo rovinare la serata. Sappiamo che siamo non europei, molto poco benvenuti e poco professionisti, e suggerisco di formare la diversità culturale. I letti erano disgustosi, le piccole strisce di capelli in tutto il foglio, il più disgustoso era la tintura di peli sulle foglie, e il letto profumava come un peliccio. Era previsto che non fumasse, ma qualcuno fumava in camera o i sistemi di isolamento/ventilazione avevano bisogno di più lavoro. Non volevo affrontare il personale di servizio frontale non professionale, così ho sofferto attraverso l'impurità e solo mettere 2 asciugamani sul tappeto solo per sentire di agio dormire, anche se eravamo solo lì per una notte...Grazie a Dio non ho prenotato per più tempo. L'unico positivo è stato il colazione, è stato sufficiente per un soggiorno di notte.
