The Hotel is undergoing major renovation, yet a greedy Management decided to keep it open albeit with a reduced capacity. The construction noice during the day after 10am was so massive that even the receptionist had to escape to outdoors…. This is highly unfortunate and probably it would have been better to close the entire hotel for bookings. The management should also have given every incoming guest a personalized warning prior to arrival.

Really nice hotel. The staf was very friendly and the food was really good as well (tried breakfast and dinner) Clean rooms and comfy beds. Not so much you can do in the city but place to stay if you're visiting different cities.

Ideal for a short stopover. The messages conveyed by showing nude women oil paintings in the dining room and bed rooms seems to be quite provocative in the modern times, though.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Front desk was very personable. The rooms tend to get warm (as confirmed by a hotel employee). We asked for a room fan --- very helpful. But if you want fresh air, you'll need to open a window which means you'll need to leave the very good light-blocking drapery open. As such, if travelling during summer (ie. long daylight) you'll want eyeshades and perhaps earplugs might be helpful as well (the hotel is located next to E20). Even-numbered rooms face the road, so you might ask for an odd-numbered room to avoid road-noise with an open window. Although noted on the hotel description, I didn't see a hairdryer. There is a nice bar on the main level; breakfast was very good.

Many good things about this place (decent location, some good facilities nearby) but no air conditioning and generally terrible air quality. The windows open just enough to let in noise from the highway but not enough to give any cooling effect. I suspect that the wages here are low since they couldn’t seem to find enough staff and those that were here were young and inexperienced, although they did the best they could. I had a delicious dinner in the restaurant the first night we were here, but after that the menu was drastically reduced because of “staff shortages”. But the biggest problem was definitely the temperature in the room- way too hot and nearly impossible to sleep. Too bad.

As the hotel's name suggests, this place is home to a remarkable art collection, worthy of a city museum. I mention full-scale paintings by Zorn, Larsson, and Liljeförs among others. But what stays in my mind was an extraordinary service from a member of staff. On my morning of departure, there had been a heavy overnight snowfall, so no taxis were prepared to venture out to take me to the station (not nearby). A staff member put on her hat and coat and drive me in her car to the station herself. That's pretty good in 2023, and added to the general positive feeling I got from a hotel where I was well fed, comfortably put up, and which had a very special set of rooms set off with tremendous, very valuable art.

nice conference hotel with gallery. single rooms with nice big beds and good space, for Scandinavia. also a nice restaurant and friendly people in the reception. all in all a pleasant stay. No doubt I would come back.
