Beaucette Marina

Cosy hut with excellent amenities. We had a wonderfully relaxing afternoon and evening in the hot tub chilling, wandering across for a pint at Saltwater, then enjoying a home-cooked meal inside the hut. Everything you might need is already there - tea&coffee facilities, shower gel/soap etc, towels, fully equipped kitchen. For mid-October we were quite warm and had to keep the windows open in the evening. Nice to have a parking space immediately behind the hut. Check-in was really easy and clear with key safe info provided through a website provided upon booking. Staff were really helpful and friendly and were even there upon our arrival to say hello. Despite me providing full details straight after booking and paying for additional services, I was then contacted a further two times (once via phone, once via email just a week before arriving) to be asked for the same information and to see whether I wanted to pay for these additional services; perhaps staff could be better organised and/or check notes before contacting customers. It was a little clunky and as it was a surprise, I didn’t appreciate the extra, unnecessary phonecalls! This didn’t detract from the stay at all though and we were really pleasantly surprised at how clean and well equipped the hut was. It’s also nicely decorated with nautical features. The only main downside is the lack of privacy when in the hot-tub. You stare directly at your neighbours in their hot-tub! We assume this has been considered and is probably so that sea views aren’t obscured, but if not, please consider taller fenced or greenery when looking from hot-tub to hot-tub! Tips: *If you request the hot tub to be ready on arrival, ask that it’s done well in advance; we had to wait about 2 hours with the cover off until it cooled down enough to sit in it which was frustrating as I’d paid for early check-in so that we could enjoy the tub all afternoon! *No need to pay for additional kindling or logs if you’re only staying for one night. This wasn’t quite clear and ended up being a waste of money. *The free breakfast is not what the online menu shows; it is very limited and even more so on a Sunday. *Go for a Sunday roast at Saltwater- stunning! *The TV doesn’t have an aerial so live content isn’t available but you can easily log into Netflix or other subscription services.

A great place for a staycation! We really enjoyed our weekend in the blue shepherd hut at the Beaucette Marina. The log fired hot tub was such a treat for our children, who could’ve spent all day in it. We had an amazing meal at SaltWater (the Marina restaurant) and the huts themselves were super clean and comfortable. They are well made and had everything we needed. The view from the decking was beautiful on a sunny weekend and it was so peaceful!! The sound proofing on the huts was great too, we could barely hear our fellow neighbours on their decking when inside. Would highly recommend!

Great campsite with good size pitches separated by hedges so feel very private. Facilities were part of the Marina. They were very clean and spacious. Perfect location for exploring if Guernsey and next to the Saltwater restaurant which is a bonus.
