Utrecht: hotel a 2 stelle

2.5 ⭐ Although location and style of the Stayokay Hostel is great, there are a lot improvements that need to be made. I booked a 2-Person Comfort Room for 4 nights. When I went to check-in, there was clearly some confusion when the staff requested for my passport for identification purposes as it took a long time to find my booking. Once we were given our key-cards to enter our room, we noticed that the room we were given was for 4 people. This room in particular was fully based inside the building, if you opened the curtain you would just see the hallway. Maybe it is just the style of the hostel, but this was not for me, I was expecting an outside view as I had paid extra for a 2-Person Comfort Room. To double check, I went down to reception to confirm if the room we had been given was actually intended for me and not for someone else for 4 people. I was confirmed that this was in fact my room. A few hours later, we had received a notice that there was signs that I had not actually paid for my room, I went to reception and provided them all the necessary documentation that I had in fact had a booking and fully paid in advance. Upon returning back to the hostel after a day of touring, I was stopped by a staff to speak to a manager. There had seem to be some mix-up which I was actually given another room for a person with the same surname as myself. Due to this situation, we were told that we were going to get given our actual intended room, but this would require us to stay over the room we had been given for the night, re-pack our belongings, check-out; and then re-check back into our room. Althought annoyed by the inconvenience now, I appreciate the staff was trying to remediate what they could do. Staying in the first room we had been given was difficult to sleep in. Although I expect their to be noise if your in a shared room, I did not realise the amount of noise I would hear outside of the room. There was a lot of kids running around screaming which made it difficult to sleep. It clearly shows that these rooms aren't very soundproof for external noise. The next day after we had checked-out, we returned back to the hostel to check-in to our new room. The new key-card we were given did not even work on our room and the elevator; this was also the same situation with the room next to us. At this point, my time at Stayokay was just becoming a nuisance now. Finally once we got access to our intended room, it was a clear better experience but there was two signs of uncleanliness I was very put off from. The ceiling and lights had a thick layer of dust, it was clear that the room had not been properly deep cleaned; when I informed the staff they said they would sort it when we get back. Upon returning to the room, they did attempt to remove the thick layer of dust from the ceiling but did not bother with the lamp shade (Refer to pictures). Il servizio dell'hotel è buono. 2° piano di zona residenziale, a circa 15 minuti a piedi dal centro Quando ho visto l'edificio, ho pensato che fosse un caffè. È un vecchio edificio e pratico, quindi il bagno e la doccia sono Lo useremo come spazio minimo. Pulizia e disagio. È completamente diverso dalle splendide strutture alberghiere della nuova città. Sono soddisfatto.Tuttavia, il prezzo non è economico, quindi è un po' sfortunato. Il colazione dell'hotel è pane, caffè, mele e arancioni

E'una decisione di prenotare una stanza temporanea. Abbiamo paura di non andare a Colonia e di non giocare a Ducey. Da una stazione centrale di bus è arrivato all'hotel meno di dieci minuti. Una strada tranquilla. Inoltre, c'è una bella lampada elettronica alla porta. Infatti, sono venuto nei Paesi Bassi per più di una settimana. Ho prenotato nervosamente sabato sera, abbiamo scelto qui. Si è dimostrato una buona scelta L'intera popolazione vive in tre piani sotterranei, la stanza è più grande di quanto immagino, perché la posizione è molto peggio. Mi sento che la casa è sotto la metà del pianeta. In piedi sulla reception, prendi il cappello per tornare alla strada per cambiare una porta, ma le due finestre della stanza sono il primo piano, fuori dalla finestra è il giardino Il ristorante è il tipo di ambiente familiare che immagino abbia lampade a incandescenza, caldo e persino giornali. Ci sono molti bambini di Miffi che sono felici di colazione. E'intero viaggio inviare una carta di soggiorno per due dipendenti per un giovane lavoro notturno, una vecchia per prendere una carta di soggiorno per una mattina. E' interessante. Il prezzo del fine settimana è leggermente superiore, ma è anche una buona esperienza

È un ostello, ma con tutte le comodità del caso. Viene fornito tutto, incluso asciugamano. In bagno sono presenti saponi di ogni tipo e c'è anche l'asciugacapelli. Ci sono diversi bagni e diverse docce, in uno stato di pulizia generalmente più che sufficiente (anche se le docce puzzano un po'). Si soggiorna in una vecchia chiesa all'interno di dei Pod (cubicoli) che si possono ”chiudere” con una tendina, garantendo quindi un minimo di privacy. All'interno del Pod c'è una scatola di ventilazione che però non basta, di notte, a tendina chiusa l'aria nel Pod si fa rovente. Ci saranno oltre 50 Pod e purtroppo gli armadietti emettono un suono acuto ogni volta che vengono bloccati e sbloccati. C'è quindi una sorta di beep beep costante. Il suono andrebbe levato, c'è già un'indicazione luminosa che indica lo stato dell'armadietto. 50€ per un ostello sono tanti. Per curiosità ho ricontrollato se all'ultimo minuto ci fosse qualche offerta ed i prezzi erano saliti addirittura ad oltre 70€, decisamente troppo per un loculo.

Quality of Housekeeping is not up to the mark. I have accute dust allergy , I started sneezing when I had placed my stuff in the room and also saw hair in the bathroom. It’s inside the mall and commute was great. Also had seen the common elevator had foul smell before getting inside the hotel. So be aware of public and floating population issues. Breakfast was good. Rooms are smaller for standard size.

Si tratta di un ottimo hotel, moderno, pulito e con magnifico personale ma, da quanto ho potuto verificare è ideale per una toccata e fuga, cioè per persone di passaggio con soggiorni di uno o due giorni massimo (infatti durante la mia permanenza di 9 gg, ho visto avvicendarsi un numero notevole di persone diverse) In ogni caso ho scelto la struttura per mie necessità personali, dall'hotel si possono raggiungere tanti posti in pochi minuti sia a piedi (cosa importante) sia con treno o bus dove le fermate sono a pochi passi. A pochi passi si trova anche una Pizzeria italiana dove si mangia ottimamente

E' difficile che faccia pessime recensioni ma in questo caso non posso esimermi dal farlo visto che, nonostante avessi prenotato la camera due mesi fa, ci è stata assegnata per la notte del nostro soggiorno una stanza al piano primo direttamente sul locale che da sulla piazza. Ora, io non conoscevo il livello di insonorizzazione delle finestre, tranne poi scoprire che fosse pari a ZERO, il vociare del locale sottostante è andato avanti fino alle 5 di mattina (non me la prendo con gli avventori del locale..ci mancherebbe !) ma con la leggerezza con cui ci è stata assegnata la camera.

Mei 2021 hier voor t laatst geslapen. Ik was toen der tijd heel positief. Nu inmiddels 2 jaar later weer eens geslapen daar. Het was oké. Het zullen hopelijk moment opnames geweest zijn waardoor ik nu gemengde gevoelens heb: de airco functioneerde niet wat in deze warm dagen slapen al zeer lastig maakt. En het was niet mogelijk ivm vroeg vertrek een ontbijt box mee te krijgen of om even snel om 0630 iets van het buffet te pakken. Ik werd wel als IHG member hartelijk ontvangen maar dit stapje extra zit er niet in. Daardoor gemengde gevoelens.

Rimasi per una notte. Prenotammo questo hotel principalmente per il parcheggio fuori strada mentre viaggiavamo in vecchi mini classici. Il check-in era efficiente con personale amichevole. La nostra camera ha guardato una strada principale, ma abbiamo avuto una buona notte di sonno. La stanza era pulita con doccia decente, gel da doccia e shampoo. Non poteva ottenere il WiFi per lavorare ovunque nell'hotel. Aveva una coppia di birre e snacks nel bar appena fuori dalla ricezione prima di andare a Utrecht, probabilmente ci sono voluti circa 15-20 min che non ci importava come faremo un sacco di camminare comunque.

The air conditioning in my room hadn't been working for my entire stay (almost two weeks). I reported the problem to the staff, but nobody was able to solve it. I reported it using the form they have on their website and nobody replied to me. I could not sleep two nights because of the heat so I asked to change my room: they told me it was not possible because the hotel was fully booked but on their website there was always a room available... Bad experience with the organization of the laundry service. Backdoor ringbell does not work properly, at any time I wanted to enter the hotel I had wait a couple of minutes to have the door opened. Not good cleaning (dust in the corners of the room). The gym room is too small and not well cleaned and the equipment consist just in a cyclette, a tradmill and an elliptical machine, so no weights or space to workout. I have to wait weeks to have my company's data added to the invoice even I asked for it when I booked my room online. Appartenly the receptionist could not do nothing about it... The only two good things that I noticed is the quiet at night and day, and the nearby bus stop that is directly connected to the city center.
