On arrival room was freezing cold and dirty. Had to wait to be transferred to another room. Not what you want when you have just travelled for over 3 hours and all you want is a warm room and some sleep...

Staff were friendly and room was a good size. Mattress was dreadful, really lumpy and uncomfortable.
Fire alarm went off one evening and no one came. I went to get a staff member from the petrol station who said it was a regular occurrence.

There was a huge stain on the carpet and a strong smell of damp. It looked like there had previously been a flood from the ensuit bathroom. Both temperature control buttons on the heater were missing so no way to adjust the room temperature. Only 3 TV channels. No kettle in the room on arrival although the staff did respond quickly when I requested one. It is very cheap which is why I booked it but I’m not sure I’d stay there again. Maybe other rooms are in better condition?

You have a decent room, 7/24 Asda couple meters away and you have %50 off Burger King just opposite of the hotel.

The room was great. But the common areas need painting- it looks very unloved. Also the area outside the hotel needed tidying.

Horrible! This place hold mould and was damp and smelly. I couldn't stay here so as soon as i saw it, I left. I am seeking a full refund.

All good - very comfortable room, helpful staff at reception. Could hardly hear traffic outside - thought it would have been loud, as close to dual carriageway, but slept fine..!

Only had a single night, but the value for money is excellent. The rooms are functional with a decent shower, coffee and tea (and biscuits!). The location has ample parking and very helpful staff at the services to check in 24 hours a day. It's a shame all the food outlets stop serving early, but Monmouth is close with a chippy, takeaways and pubs. Will stay again.
