Buona scelta per chi vuole trattarsi bene. POSIZIONE Dalla mappa sembrerebbe un po' ai margini del villaggio, in realtà alla fine risulta vicino alla piazza da cui iniziano i vari ristoranti e sulla via dove partono le navette per Machu Picchu. CAMERA Bella camera abbastanza spaziosa con balcone sul retro. In bagno la doccia ha la tenda e le prese sono con ingresso americano (in camera col doppio ingresso europeo e americano). La reception è disponibile a tenere i bagagli per la giornata in attesa del treno di ritorno per Ollantaytambo. COLAZIONE Buona colazione, anche abbastanza varia con alcune torte e elementi dolci. PREZZO Prezzo commisurato alla categoria.

There is a lot of choice in Aguas Calientes and I chose the Amakonkay Machu Picchu based on the location in Aguas Calientes and the price compared to other accommodation and it was a great little place to stay for three nights. The location is perfect with shops and restaurants nearby, the bus stop to Machu Picchu at the end of the alleyway and the main square just around the corner. It is a short walk from the train station and the hotel folks are waiting for you with your name on a board. A clean and comfortable room and I had some of the best nights sleep at the hotel while touring Peru. The breakfast was large and tasty with half a huge avocado, ham, cheese, scrambled egg, breads, juice, etc. and while in Peru the breakfasts here were some of the best. The staff were really friendly and helpful and given the location, price , rooms and breakfast this makes for a good base in Aguas Calientes.

Hotel Luz Garden was great! The staff treated us like family and were very nice! They came by each night to see what time we wanted breakfast and even let us stay in our room a little later so we didn't have to set around town waiting for or train. I will definitely stay here again.

Di fronte alla cava, proprio davanti alla vecchia ferrovia interrotta da una frana, si trova questo buon ristorante che offre anche pernotto. Da qui è molto veloce raggiungere a piedi la stazione di Agias Caloente e la fermata dei bus che portano al Macchu Picchu. Il ristorante offre una cucina semplice ma molto gustosa: ottima la zuppa de giorno, così come il pescato per finire con un ottimo dolce. Poche portate che cambiano in base alla stagione, buon gusto e buon prezzo. Da provare.

Let me start I was skeptical while booking but when I reached here my stay was fantastic. Location: it is a wonderful location directly on the river and 4 minutes walk from railway station and bus as well as all the restaurants. Service: Christian and Judith provided the best possible service. Breakfast was the best. Free Wifi Internet was good Allowed to keep our luggage after checkout free of charge Overall I would love to stay again here!

Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado Hotel & Villas is an absolute marvel of a hotel, far surpassing my expectations from the moment of booking. The hotel offers a wide range of activities to engage guests. The buffet is excellent, featuring a variety of delicious options. A unique highlight is the opportunity to feed alpacas, among other fun activities available. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well-appointed, each featuring a luxurious bathtub and the option for an outdoor shower, which adds a touch of indulgence while ensuring privacy. The hotel environment feels very secure, adding an extra layer of comfort to the stay. This is without a doubt a five-star experience. I highly recommend this hotel for its top-notch service and the exceptional hospitality of the staff. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking to indulge in a bit of luxury while exploring the Sacred Valley.

Firstly I will start with the positives, the hotel was nice with beautiful greenery surrounding. The decor certainly wasn’t modern however it was perfectly fine. Secondly the negatives, customer service was inadequate. Two of us are vegetarian and one morning we had to leave before breakfast opened so were told we would have ‘takeaway breakfast’. We clarified that these would be vegetarian three times (at checkin, the night before and in the morning when collecting the bags) but when we got on our journey we found they both contained ham. This is absolutely unacceptable and I hope they treat allergens more seriously or they could kill someone. When we mentioned this to the receptionist she just smiled and nodded and said ‘oh okay’, which is not an acceptable response. Also you have to pay for water here which we were absolutely fine with. When we bought a second lot on the second day we realised we had paid double the amount the previous day. When I said this to the receptionist again she just nodded and after a long pause said she would call someone. Other members of our tour group also agreed they had paid double the price the previous day. The following morning the receptionist was extremely rude and told us we were lying. She also told us, in a borderline threatening manner, that everything we do is on camera which is a bit weird given we were in a hotel so hoping she didn’t mean ‘everything’ as that’s a gross invasion of privacy. When we asked to watch the camera footage she was speaking of she told us it wasn’t available. The amount of money was not significant but the reaction of staff was wholly inappropriate - especially for a hospitality business. Overall would not recommend anyone stay here. Customer service skills require a lot of improvement.

This hotel pulls WAY beyond its claimed 3-star rating. Think 5-stars. It’s that special. There seems to be an older part of the hotel—perhaps a historic nunnery?—but the majority of the complex appears more contemporary, albeit with an architectural style sensitive to the ambiance of the older buildings. To our surprise, we had what I believe was a superior suite. It was an awesome space, with a beautiful sitting area, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom with a huge walk-in shower with two rain shower heads, even a dining table and a small kitchenette with a wet bar, refrigerator and microwave. The suite was immaculate and in flawless repair. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room was silent, resulting in excellent sleep quality. It was a pleasure to wander the gorgeous grounds. I wasn’t enamored by the local women invited to sell their goods, but at some level they were charming rather than intrusive. The alpacas that helped keep the grounds trim were simply adorable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide selection of well-prepared options, including made-to-order omelets. We ate once at their Italian restaurant for a casual dinner and enjoyed a tasty and reasonably priced pizza. This hotel is wonderful. Think 4-4.5 stars, and you won’t be disappointed.
