Göbel's Sophien Hotel

We were pleased to stay here for family reunion. Quality downtown hotel with affordable price; good for short stay (families, couples, small groups). (+) Location: very central but quiet, walking distance to Castle Wartburg Room: spacious spotlessly clean 24/7 food: rich breakfast, in-house restaurant and bar, coffee machine in the room and snack wending machine for midnight hunger Staff: friendly and attentive, 24h reception Parking: hotel-owned place (not free) is big advantage in city center Kids: play corner in the lobby; elevator Accordingly with the hotel sustainability policy, daily room cleaning is upon request (-) Fitting carpets in rooms might be problematic for allergic guests

The check- in was chaotic: no help with the luggage. The room was from the former GDR. Big and clean, but very out-dated. There was a welcome bottle of water, BUT at the back side was a tag; 2,5 euro! Breakfast was ok en very rich. Unlike they said by the check-in it was not included! We even had go pay for the drinks separately! Although advertised as an hotel with a destination charger for Tesla, there was nothing of that. We had to pay almost 40 euros for charging the Tesla

Would like to start off with the room. First impression was that it was clean and modern looking. The only issue was in the bathroom where the mirror was. It was not over the sink and there was only one electrical outlet. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room too. The hotel restaurant had good food but it would have been better if it wasn't an open buffet style. During Covid you are more exposed to other people being near the open food. Having to pay for parking (10-15 euro) daily wasn't welcomed either. For a 3 day overnight it adds up. Finally, the location was excellent for walking to sites or using the public transit to go to further attractions. The city of Eisenach had plenty to offer and we got to do and see most everything we planned on our itinerary. Would definitely plan another trip for next year.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist die zentrale Lage des Hotels und seine Zugänglichkeit mit PKW, die Stille des Zimmers und die Freundlichkeit beim Empfang. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war jedoch nur aufgrund der unschlagbaren Nähe zum Start des Rennsteigslaufs gerechtfertigt. Im Vergleich mit zahlreichen anderen Hotels ähnlichen Standards ist der Preis deutlich zu hoch, insbesondere aufgrund der Schlichtheit der Zimmer und der Hygiene des Bads (es fand sich Rasierhaar am Waschbecken). Darüber hinaus empfehle ich einer Mitarbeiterin im Frühstücksbereich, an ihrer Gastfreundlichkeit zu arbeiten. Dennoch bleibt mein Gesamteindruck positiv, weil ich mit dem Hotelbesuch ein erfolgreiches Supermarathondebut verbinde. Haben Sie vielen herzlichen Dank dafür!

Sehr schönes Hotel, freundliches Personal, super Frühstück,da ist alles dabei. Kann man wirklich weiter empfehlen.

Sehr gemütlich, modern und wohnlich eingerichtetes Hotel. Frühstück sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Lediglich etwas mehr Obstauswahl, bspw. Ananas oder Erdbeeren, hätte ich mir gewünscht. Schön wäre auch ein kostenloses Glas Sekt zum Feiertag oder Sonntag gewesen. Check-in und-out unkompliziert. Personal manchmal etwas forsch und genervt. Als Alleinreisender habe ich mich manchmal etwas "komisch" angeguckt gefühlt. Hier wäre etwas mehr Offenheit und Freundlichkeit schön.

Ich habe mich im Sophien Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt, angefangen vom Einchecken an der Rezeption über das schöne Einzelzimmer (zur Straße hin), sogar mit Espresso-Maschine und Bademantel inklusive, das zuvorkommend-freundliche Personal, die wirklich zentrale Lage des Hotels bis zum Auschecken alles in bester Ordnung. Und zwischendurch schnell in die Sauna zu gehen, das war Luxus. Nur die Parkplatzsituation ist gegen Abend anstrengend, was bei 10 Euro pro Nacht nicht sein müsste.

Wir hatten ein DZ mit Sofabelegung für ein Kind. Es war schon etwas Ende mit den anderen Möbeln im Zimmer. Sonst war aber alles prima. Nettes Personal, Sauberkeit top, tolles Frühstück. Sehr zentral gelegen.

Das Sophien-Hotel ist eine Super-Adresse für eine Übernachtung in Eisenach. Tolles Personal, schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Highlight ist das Frühstück mit eine sehr großen Auswahl, die seinesgleichen sucht.
