Built in 2006 and named after the mountain road leading to it, Spruce Run Hideaway is beautifully enhanced by the interior design and covered front porch and is surrounded by 245 acres of private woodland & 1000's of acres of State Forest Land. The SettingThis charming waterfront cottage is tucked in along Penns Creek with a stunning view of the creek from the living room, kitchen, one of the bedrooms, and screened in porch. Don't forget to look beyond the creek as you are nestled into a valley with a view of Jacks Mountain. You can also enjoy this view while sitting around the fire pit. While you are enjoying the view and listening to the water, you will want to watch for the abundant wildlife this area has to offer; bald eagles, herons, ducks, geese, deer, and more. Local Stops and ActivitiesEnjoy kayaking (four kayaks are available upon request), hiking, hunting, biking/walking/running on the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail. Fishing is available right off the property, and fishermen don't miss the Green Drake Hatch in late May or early June. This fly fishing hotspot is only a few minutes upstream. More local stops include Penns Creek Pottery, Hoover Bernina Sewing, T&D Cats of the World, Clyde Peelings Reptile Land, Penn's Cave & Wildlife, Raymond B. If there is evidence of pets and the pet fee was not paid, the pet fee will be taken out of your damage deposit. There is a maximum of 2 pets. Pets must always be on a leash when outside, all poop must be removed from property prior to check out, and no pets on furniture. Pets must be completely housebroken, well-behaved, and pest free (no flea or ticks). Guests will assume and agree to cover all costs for any damage created by their pets. Other4 cars maximum for parking. The kitchen is very stocked, please reach out if you have any questions about what is available for guests. Fresh linens, towels, and wash clothes are provided for each guest.Tents are not permitted without prior approval.Fireworks are prohibited. Gun and archery shooting is prohibited on the property. There are cabins and houses that cannot be seen but are still close enough that you could cause harm or death. We will be notified if these activities occur and you will be required to leave the property without a refund. You must stay on our property. You are not permitted to go onto neighboring properties. Please be respectful of the neighbors. This is not a party house. We cannot stress this enough. We will be notified if the noise level or activities get out of hand and you will be required to leave without a refund.Absolutely no smoking or vaping of anything in the cottage. If there is any "scent" detected you will pay a minimum of (but not limited to) $300.00 damage fee if you smoke/vape anything inside. Smoking & vaping is permitted outside with all the doors and windows closed. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. This spacious country home will be your perfect next getaway. We're close to Bald Eagle State Forest snowmobile trails so come for a few days of riding and spend nights in our home.The spaceBubbling Brook Farmhouse has everything you need to make an unforgettable stay! We are just a few miles from Boomerang's Bar & Grille and the Bald Eagle State Forest snowmobile and ATV trails, and we have plenty of parking space for your trailers and pickups. There are 6 bedrooms in the house that sleep up to 12 and 3.5 bathrooms. Note: We are willing to make arrangements for even bigger groups. Just message us and let us know. And just to make you aware, there is a $10 per person, per night extra charge for more than 12 people. All the bedrooms and 2 of the bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. There is a fully stocked kitchen that'll make it easy for you to do lots of cooking. There's a crockpot and instant pot, plus all the kitchen utensils you'll need. There's also a pellet BBQ grill outside available for guests to use. The dining room has an extension table that seats up to 20 people, and there's plenty of folding chairs to use. There's a large open living room and also a smaller, cozy family room. There's no TV in the house, so you can enjoy quality family time. Wi-Fi is available and there's board games and also table games to enjoy. The garage is not for use for vehicles, but we have converted it into a game/exercise room. There's also plenty of space to set up more tables for dining. We love children, so please bring them along. Let them work off their energy in the large yard or in the play area which has a trampoline, sand box, swing set, and playhouse. (Adult supervision recommended! And please be aware that the front of the house is right close to the road.) Cook supper outside over the fire in the lovely stream-side picnic area. At the end of the day (or anytime!), spend time relaxing in the hot tub. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing. Locally roasted coffee will be provided with your stay! We also have a lovely .8-mile trail that you are free to use. It will be marked with flags. Part of the trail is on a quiet country road. Washer and dryer are available for guest use. Please bring your own laundry soap. This is an old farmhouse so there are some steep narrow stairs.We are not pet friendly but there is a dog boarder just a mile up the road.
