Mountaineer Motel

I’ll be asking for my money back. I did not feel safe staying there. There was not a person on site to actually check in. There was a key left in the room. The door had a push button lock, and that was it. I could see light all the way around the door and it would not have taken anything to actually push the door open with the pathetic lock. The motel has not been updated since the 1970s at best and they were scuffs all around the room on the wall and could not even be bothered to be painted. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone unless it is a last resort

Worked out well for us We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window. We had to place a folder to block the view! 3. It was very hot in the room! Good for this winter weather if course, but was hard to sleep. There was no way to control the temperature. We opened the window for the second night and it made it less secure but more tolerable.

Absolutely the worst Building should be condemned as unfit for human habitation. There was no heating. Bed was a ultra soft mattress on the floor. In my 82 years this is by far the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to experience and pay $110 for the privilege.

Not clean. Wouldn't have stayed given another choice. But baby was over driving and we needed to stop. You get what you pay for and even then I think it was too much. No front desk. Had to call for check in and check out. Felt very wrong to stay. Will not be returning.
