We enjoyed our stay at the hotel . The service from the staff at the hotel was second to none. Would specifically like to mention ishara and Prasad from the staff for their exceptional service and kind gestures. Even though every staff members name is not mentioned I must say starting from the group general manager to the cleaning staff everyone at this property was equally friendly and equally nice providing their guests with a world class experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely revisit this property again. Thank you for the best experience:)

Amazing hotel with great facilities e.g infinity pool, restaurants and very friendly hospitality. Food was really good as well. Special mention to Aslam, Nanayakkara, Kapila,Hirusha,Lakmini, Nayeesha and Chef Chaminda for taking special care of us . Big thanks to Mr Ruwan Kalugala for keeping the place beyond expectations.

Wow what a place! Once you enter the beautiful gardens, you feel relaxed, calm and peaceful. The old buildings are beautifully and sympathetically decorated with so much attention to detail. The swimming pool has some sun and shaded areas and beautifully clean. My husband had a massage, which he enjoyed. Our room was the suite. Now I have to say, I travel around 9 months of the year and this is one of the best and biggest I have stayed in. We compared it as just short of Raffles in Singapore. Every little detail was thought about. Plenty of room for your toiletries, a plug next to a mirror for the hairdryer, socket next to the bed, etc. The evening dinner was very romantic, a beautiful setting in an open dining area by the pool. The food was delicious too. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves as it was low season. It felt like it was your own beautiful home. Sadly we only had time for one night. When we next visit Sri Lanka we will be checking in for a week.

We visited this stunning hotel in Sri Lanka over Christmas, and it exceeded all our expectations! The highlight of our stay was the incredible effort the staff made to prepare a traditional English roast dinner, making us feel truly at home while being miles away. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated with an art deco feel. The views were absolutely breathtaking, we had a sea view room with a huge balcony. The main infinity pool is stunning. The service was outstanding!! Every single member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. This was a Christmas we’ll never forget. Highly recommended!

Великолепный мини-отель. Один из лучших на острове. Очень дружелюбный персонал, небольшое количество номеров. Хоть и по меню, но очень вкусный и разнообразный завтрак. Панорамный бассейн с великолепным видом. Рядом - один из лучших пляжей острова без волн - Jungle beach. Очень советую выбирать это место. Кстати, кому достанется вид на сад советую не расстраиваться - море оттуда тоже видно. В общем, прекрасный бутик-отель.

If you're looking for a relaxing escape with a peaceful and serene ambiance, Thambapanni Retreat is the perfect place. The calmness of the environment truly soothes both the mind and soul. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, consistently going above and beyond to ensure that guests are well taken care of and feel right at home. Special mention goes to the chef, Mr. Lionel, who was exceptional. He expertly prepared any dish we requested, exactly to our taste, and with impressive speed. Additionally, Mr. Anil, the Restaurant Manager, was very accommodating, even arranging complimentary transport to access the amenities of their three sister hotels in Unawatuna, where guests can enjoy all facilities free of charge. The daily room service was impeccable, with everything kept spotlessly clean. Our stay at Thambapanni Retreat was an unforgettable experience, and we’re already looking forward to visiting again soon.
