We stayed here for one night only as part of our South African trip so didn’t get to experience all that the hotel has to offer. It is very stylish and our room was spotless, with a small balcony overlooking the lighthouse and the whalebone pier. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our evening meal too. Service was good. Sadly we didn’t get to eat our breakfast outside overlooking the sea due to the pesky monkeys. Our only issue was our bathroom. We stayed in Room 406. The bath was a strange shape and was very narrow to sit in and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Thankfully we were able to mop this up with the lovely thick bath towels. Also, this bathroom honestly had the worst grouting and siliconing we have ever seen!

I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional service. I just want to thank the housekeeping for always making sure my room is clean. A big thank you to the kitchen staff You made me feel important and that I can always rely on you for the home-away-from-home feeling. keep up the good work! This was my first time in Africa and enjoyed every minute at this gateway hotel and next to the wall. Perfect location and staff was outstanding. The customary drinks they provided while you waited for check in was A one. I will stay here again.

L'hotel è in una posizione fantastica! Il personale era amichevole e utile. La stanza era molto pulita ma non sono così sicuro della piscina. L'acqua sembrava pulita.. solo il piano della piscina era fuori posto. Ero un po' deluso non avevo un frigo nella mia stanza. Forse le camere più grandi hanno? Durante le ore di scarico, tutto è ancora accennato. Il wifi era grande! In generale, è un bel hotel e sarebbe felice di rimanere di nuovo lì.

This review relates mainly to one specific issue, but it was the reason that I selected this hotel over the other choice I had. I run but do not like running on the road in cities I do not know. I therefore selected Coastlands as it has a fitness centre. My other option didn't. There are two treadmills in the fitness centre, both essentially unusable. The one is stuck in about a 3 degree incline and cannot be flattened. The other had a dilapidated running belt that was torn and which kept ”sticking” or ”stalling” every third or fourth step of my left foot. I've never seen such dilapidated equipment at any other hotel I've stayed at. There were also button covers missing and buttons that did not work. While the room was clean and nice, there was no lighting above the desk which made working on a laptop difficult. The water spout control on the bidet was broken. The plug on the sink leaked water at a rapid rate.

This was my first time staying at the Royal Palms and enjoyed my stay and it was a very relaxing stay. Very close to any shopping venue you want. The rooms are special. I will invite my friends to visit this hotel in the future.

Rooms are extremely neat. Beautiful view and close proximity to major freeways and shopping centers. Brilliant service and breakfast like no other.
