It breaks my heart to give this place a less than stellar review. Grand Superior lodge has always held a special place in my heart. My husband and I honeymooned here almost 18 years ago and have returned every year. This place is really not what it used to be. There is serious maintenance and cleanliness issues. Just to name a few: electric fireplace did not work, blinds in poor condition and held together with tape, grimy and dirty tile floors, mold in shower, 2 out of 3 bathroom lights not working, cobwebs everywhere including windows and air vents, heat did not work for several hours after turning it on. Someone is really not doing their job. There is no reason there should be this many issues in one unit. These conditions are not acceptable in any lodging, but especially not one charging this much.

Stayed for a family wedding. Great atmosphere, great staff. Grounds were well cared for. There was always something to do and someone to help if needed.

Zipped up to Northshore for weekend of hiking and stayed at Grand Superior Lodge 9/21/24 in one of their Lakeview King Suites. Room and view off deck were lovely. Loud music from wedding below us was NOT. Tried contacting front desk but they close at 10pm. Contacted management next day and they replied saying I should have contacted them to be moved to a quieter room. ...difficult when the front desk closes at 10pm!

My husband and I stayed one night at the Grand Superior Lodge. Our room was immaculate clean, with views of Lake Superior. The bed and pillows were comfy. I loved the rustic decor in the room which made it less like cookie cutter hotel rooms. It was very quiet and relaxing. We ate at the bar and it was a great meal with great service. Thank you!

Walk along the shoreline. Beautiful lake shore complete with Adirondack chairs and fire pits. Great restaurants with real food on property. Well kept property. Friendly staff.

We rented a 3 bedroom 2 bath lake home, 400A. There were numerous issues with our rental. Very dirty tile floors in kitchen and bathroom evidence by accidently spilling some water and paper towels used to wipe it up turned black. Cobwebs on furniture. Main floor bathroom had only 1 out of 3 lightbulbs working and there was loose floor tiles. Bedroom window would not open/close properly. Lots of flies in the rental. Upstairs whirlpool tub leaked water and flood the bathroom floor. For almost $700 per night we expected better.

Great place for family get away. Loved the smores and the pool. Would highly recommend esp for families.

What an amazing place to stay. We wanted to try a new location on the North Shore. Very friendly guests and staff. Right on the rocks on the shore and fun to walk around and explore. The restaurant had amazing food, drinks and service. Nice location close to state parks. The pool and hot tub were great and the pool even had some pool toys, life jackets and goggles for families to use!
