Twisp River Suites

Head and shoulders above the crowd in terms of refined comfort, modest luxury, and soft warm elegance. Twisp is a lovely westernWashington town and a wonderful visit, however, step inside this very well run hotel and you will feel as if you are is a European Country Inn. Quiet and elegant were my first impressions, and as I walked into the lobby, Instantly I knew my wife and I had chosen a gem. We are in our late 70's, well traveled, and have great appreciation for value. That hard to define 'what do I get for my dollar' issue. Twisp River Suites provide value in spades. The outside of the building is clad in weather steel which gives the charming impression of being old, however, inside is all fresh scrubbed, crisp, clean, and in excellent repair. An evaluator is provided. We booked our single night stay only a few days in advance, having viewed the property on Google Maps and at the hotel's URL. The on-line images are realistic, and seeing this place in person certainly justified our choice. Our lodging was a single king, and we paid about $20 more than a modest hotel a block away, and less money than in Winthrop, 10 miles distant. Walking the 75 feet from the front door to the outdoor deck overlooking the river, I saw well appointed cowboy country charm in the decor and artwork, in the comfortable seating areas in the lounge, and outside on the deck. Outside was a fire pit, with comfy seating for several couples. Several tables were overlooking the river which provided a soft gurgling white noise back ground. The parking lot was 40 feet away, well positioned out of sight and well out of hearing. The breakfast area was also well appointed, with china plates ceramic coffee cups, proper metal cutlery, and not a paper or plastic cup in sight. Our room was up one level on the street side. We were too late to get a river view room. However, our room was quiet and well provisioned, and did not disappoint. Terrycloth robes, slippers, ceramic coffee cups, wine glasses, and fresh ground coffee in good quantity to scoop up and brew in your room. The bathroom was tiled to the ceiling on the 'wet side' of the room in the European style. Two vessel sinks and ample counter space. Kleenex in the bath room, and the bedroom showed somebody was paying attention to people's needs. This is a very well thought out and run establishment. There are 4 or 5 nice places to eat, 2-3 minutes on foot in Twisp. We ate at the Taproom brewery next door, seated outside above the river, and enjoyed a warm pleasant evening. Breakfast did not disappoint. None of the usual packaged 'foods'. Fresh egg dishes for both vegetarian and carnivore, freshly baked pastries, and breads, quality fruit preserves, butter not mystery spread, fresh OJ, with good coffee alway brewing fresh. We sat outside and shared a pleasant morning listening to the birds, and watched the river whisper past. We have been to Winthrop/Twisp several dozen times, having stayed in a

My husband and I were just passing through on a two-week road trip and were thrilled to find this cozy gem. Our room was clean, comfortable and updated. If we were going to be in the area longer, we would’ve loved to stay longer to take advantage of all of the amenities. When we arrived, Stephanie graciously welcomed us, showed us around the property and helped us settle into our room. Since it was time for dinner, she recommended the Tap House next door. It was perfect—good food, live music and friendly staff and locals. Breakfast is typically served in the morning, but since we had mentioned that we were leaving early in the am, a delicious boxed breakfast was left for us in our room’s fridge. Our thanks to everyone there for a wonderful stay.

We felt very comfortable in the hotel from the very first moment. We were very impressed by the hospitality, friendliness and helpfulness with all questions and details concerning our stay in the region. We really liked the beautiful location on the river, the breakfast, our lovely room and the many beautiful details in the hotel. Thank you very much for three wonderful days!

Twist River Suites is simply the best place we have ever stayed. We are well traveled and have stayed in many places in the lower 48 states and stay was truly fabulous. The suites are large with a full kitchen and your own laundry. You have access to the river where you can sit at a table in the water and let your feet dangle in the river. The staff has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and go above and beyond. It is the small touches like eye masks for sleeping, robes and slippers that let you know that they have thought about your stay before you have arrived. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Homemade breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit, scones and bagels with salmon cream cheese. All of it was delicious. The staff immediately feels like family. At breakfast after our first night, we were discussing our travel plans with them and they suggested an alternate route that was more scenic. Leslie came to our room after we returned with map and written instructions for the remainder of our trip. She had even researched hotels for us to stay in. This morning at breakfast, when I complemented the salmon spread, Dawn made me a copy of the recipe. They have been so friendly and helpful.

My family had an amazing weekend at twisp river suites for Mother’s Day. My parents, my husband and our teenage daughters all loved the location, the town and the incredible ease and hospitality. It’s really hard to find a place that makes all ages happy and this place delivered 100%! Can’t wait to go back!!

This was a great boutique hotel that caters to the comfort and hospitality of their guests and their furry family members who want to travel on vacation too. The Paws Awhile (seperate from the Twisp River Suites hotel) is for guests traveling with their pets. The rooms are well appointed with beautiful wooden ceilings, screened in porch with a large ceiling swing as well as a large shower with great water pressure. There is a coffee maker, microwave and fridge in the room and a full kitchen within the building that the other three units can share. They offer a free breakfast daily with homemade casseroles, fresh baked bread pudding and scones that are to die for. Fresh fruit, yogurt, and juice are also available. Everything in town is a close walk including the public park and the local restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. The Twisp River Pub has a delicious varieties of meals and live music both Saturday and Sunday nights that we were there. We plan on visiting here again and highly recommend as a clean and comfortable hotel to stay.
