The archipelago here is famous for its beauty and fishing, and there is a beach in walking distance from the cottage. The "book town" of Tvedestrand is only 5 minutes away by car, with plenty of shops and restaurants within the charming old town centre. You can reach Arendal within a small half hour along the coastal road, the capital of Aust Agder.
