Kairaba Bodrum Princess & Spa - All Inclusive

Just got back (4/10/24) from this hotel after a week stay there. Checked in in the early hours of Saturday morning, due to delays with easy jet. Was told by reception that my sea view room wasn’t available and needed to sort it at 1pm the next day. We were given a room that backed up to a fence, give how tired we were we just decided to sort it out the next day. So the next day we went to sort it out, only to be told our room was still not ready,after speaking to the manager we were given our room by 3pm. As I wasn’t the only one that this happened to, I find it poor that rooms aren’t ready for guests. I’ve traveled abroad for over 40 years and I know what to expect on All Inclusive and what the star ratings mean, do not go here if you think a 5star in Turkey is like a 5star in the Uk. So the rooms themselves are good, very spacious with plenty of storage for clothes. The Bathroom is good, a good rainforest shower head, could improve on the soap dispensers though . The food was actually ok, plenty of choice every day and not that repetitive for a week . Swimming pool was also good, clean but fairly cold as it’s that time of year. The staff, given that the hotel closes in a couple of weeks were very good, always happy and helpful. Things the hotel could do better: Iron and ironing board in rooms Coffee machines in room Pads on sunbeds Better products in bathrooms Better WiFi Better evening entertainment( rubbish to be honest) All in all it was fine for a week break for the price we paid.

Hotel is maximal 3 *, Old and need some refurbishment. Toilet in our room smelled horrible. Service in restaurant was unsatisfactory. There was enough food but poor quality. The waitress spoke only Turkish. Did not care about guests. Beach was dirty and small. Nobody cleaned it. Music at pool area was very loud whole day. The stay at this hotel was big disappointment.

Had an amazing time with partner and children. Hotel was lovely staff were friendly! Special thanks to the animation team for the entertainment and the nearby sales people!! Eddy thanks for all your help and the joat trip was a great experience. Had a good laugh with everyone and the seaview room was lovely x Food was fine lot’s of options!

I recently had the misfortune of staying at My Ella Bodrum Hotel, and I have to say, honestly, it was one of the most horrendous experiences of my life. It baffles me how this establishment could ever be rated as a 5 star hotel! it’s nothing short of a disgrace. The entire place is a cesspool of filth, with dirt and grime caked onto every surface. The air conditioning was completely useless, turning our room into an unbearable sauna, and making sleep next to impossible. The pool? Absolutely revolting. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy take a dip in that murky, bacteria ridden swamp. As for the wifi, it was practically non existent constantly dropping out, rendering it impossible to stay connected to the outside world. And don’t even get me started on the food. The limited options were laughable, the quality was abysmal, and the hygiene was shockingly bad. We found ourselves dodging swarms of mosquitoes while trying to eat in the so called “alacart” dining area, which only added to the nightmare. Can you believe a 5 star hotel where the climate system is non functional? We called them repeatedly, but they simply couldn’t be bothered to fix it. The lack of basic cleanliness, the total disregard for comfort, and the complete absence of essential amenities made this stay an utter disaster. Adding insult to injury, there was absolutely no entertainment or animation of any kind. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Do yourself a favour and just AVOID this place like the plague. There wasn’t a single good thing about this hotel.

3 stars not 5 … You get what you pay for so don’t expect luxury … our room was ok, but needed some maintenance (replace torn curtains and clean stains off the wall). Service was very patchy and the cocktails were really awful (UHT milk in a pina colada lol ?) and all the alcohol was watered down. Pick yourself up some booze from the duty free and you’ll be fine. Food was ok - bit bland with the classic all-inclusive cake selection ( 10 different designs but all the same taste) . Pool music was really loud and the beds were snapped up early. There is a ***** of stoney beach available across from entrance. We used it as a base — if you want sandy beaches you can walk 150 meters either side of entrance and fine beach clubs with either no music or ambient sounds - reasonable prices and relaxing. Booked a boat trip around the islands from Turgetrius village for £20 pp which was fabulous. If you like a bargain, lots of kids, lots of noise and the holiday is about being in the pool and not the quality of accommodation , food, drinks or service, it’s great. Otherwise, accept it as it is and use as a cheap base to explore.

Before going to the reality, i would like to say thank you to ALI for finding us entrainment. He is the best. And thanks Elif for good food at regular restaurant. And now, to proper review: Starting from checking in - "here is your key - good luck". No information provided at all. Room (1337) - bathroom door opens not into the corridor, but in to bathroom blocking the entrance to the shower. Yes you can close the doors for the showering time, but there is no ventilation inside the bathroom - fogs really fast and to avoid it you need to leave door open. Napkins or shampoo or hair conditioner did not exist there. Only dispenser with soap. Room floor is just plastic fake wood cover (linoleum). Holes in the curtains. Bed was OK. AC worked fine. All inclusive - alcohol is very poor quality. Tastes like cheapest thing in the world and you really can not get drunk from it. Unless you pay enormous prices for well know alcohol. Beer = beer tasting water. At regular restaurant food was really good except fruits and desserts. Fruits : you get apple, pear, erih and it's basically it. No watermelon or grapes or bananas ( bananas was once in one evening). Desserts- they are way too sweet and some of them is old. No sourness found in any dessert to level out taste. No real juice found. Only some super over sweetened chemical concentrated liquids. All guests have a right to order A' la carte Italian dinner in Hotel in separate "restaurant area" once or more for free depending on the length of the stay. So took we this opportunity and believe me people - food is cold, no taste, pasta tastes better from one use cups in grocery shops. We ordered italian steak for main. Steak should be grilled yes? That piece of meat was boiled looks like someone chewed it and spit it on the plate. At that A la carte dinner basically no drinks available unless staff goes around 7 minutes Journey to main hotel bar to bring drinks for you. Crazy. Order Tiramisu for dessert (it's spelled wrong in MENU) and it was basically old frozen chocolate cake with some Baileys poored on top of it. Is manager doing their work or it's just getting salary knowing someone who probably owns hotel and goes home. 75% of staff do not speak English and have no clue what are you asking them. At 24/7 bar only one guy was OK - Faith. Other have no clue what are they doing there. At main restaurant there is a lot of servants who really want to help, but once you ask for more than 1 thing they can not understand and brings you only the first thing they heard. Multitasking is not the strong side. Let's go to pool and spa areas: Outside pool is well covered and cleaned every evening. Nice place to get sun. SPA - i will say it's so so. Steam sauna is broken. Ordered Turkish Hamam and girls from Indonesia were doing it for you. I am in Turkey, paying money and expecting Turkish people doing their thing.
