T & J Motel

Honestly so impressed. Arrived early and gained access to our rooms.simple rooms but Spotlessly clean, comfy bed and lots of nice touches like cereal, bread, juice and milk along with microwave and toaster for a breakfast. Nice friendly staff and would definitely recommend.

Clean room, nice comfortable bed, and quiet surroundings - also a god value. Well situated for Wadhurst/Ticehurst/Lamberhurst/Hanwkhurst etc. - and of course Bewl and Bedgebury. I recommend for a no-fuss local stay in the Kent/Sussex borders.

On arrival nobody there, after ringing bell and phone number, someone answered after 15 minutes. Then it was no greeting! Room was small, but the shower was great. Breakfast was very poor, with tea & coffee there wasn’t enough milk for cereal, so we had to go and buy some. Overall not ver good!!!

Bedwas quite damp on first night. was comfy . Needs to be aired prior to guest arrival... Issue with oven need instructions how yo use ... other than that room excellent... would stay again

Stayed many times before, always clean, comfortable and welcoming! It is not, and does not claim to be, an hotel. However, what it provides is more than acceptable! Once again, many thanks! I would now take Trip-Adviser to task and ask why there is any need for a minimum of 200 characters? Pointless!!

Good selection of breakfast food and hot drinks . Room and bathroom were clean . Plenty of parking spaces . Not a particularly warm welcome from the man who met us in the car park on arrival . He didn’t show us to our room and when we found the room , the door key was in the lock - not very security minded . No heating had been put on in the room ready for our arrival - so it was very cold . We had to put the electric heater on ourselves to get warm and heat up the room . The duvet and bedding felt cold and damp to sleep in - not good. Felt like this room had been empty for a while without any heating on - hence the damp and cold bedding ? No heating facility in the bathroom . Some machine like a fridge or something kept coming on and then switching off throughout the night , in the floor below us . This interrupted our sleep . Will not be returning to this place . Would score it just 6 out of 10.

Simply perfect, as usual. No problems in any area. This is my go-to venue for what are usually short stay visits to the area & I have no intention of staying elsewhere unless by any chance no rooms are available - & so far his has never happened!

The property was clean, modern and basic. No frills. Not memorable, just ok. Ripped the skin on my heel, just prior to going to bed, on a screw which was proud and sticking up by about 5mm from a gripper rod threshold which joined the carpet from the hallway to the main space of the room. Which wasn't ideal being that I was staying there overnight, to ensure locality to run the Bedgebury half marathon the following morning. Breakfast left in room was better than nothing, though a bit frugal in my opinion. For £130 pounds for my wife , young daughter and myself, I genuinely do not feel We got much value.

It was exactly as described - nothing fancy but clean and functional and very helpful staff. They left breakfast items in the fridge even though we hadn’t booked breakfast which was a real bonus and the location was very convenient
