Ninh Binh Retreat

The accommodation is in the middle of rice fields and rocks, in a peaceful, silent environment. We looked at many homestays around, but this was definitely the most beautiful one. Rooms and environment are very silent. Anyway, just a few minutes walk away are a lot of restaurants and bars. We checked a few different rooms and all looked great and clean. The bed was very comfortable with a mosquito protection around. The pool was clean. There is also a (coldish) whirlpool. The owners are very nice, helpful with everything and always checked that the guests were happy. We had some minor complaints and immediately they took care to solve it (for example no hot water in the bathtub). For the (included) breakfast there is a big choice between European and Vietnamese dishes. We also had dinner there, what was pretty good as well. The motorbike that are for rent are a bit expensive (150k, with full gas 200k). However, the bicycles are totally free. The only minor things that weren’t perfect: the rain shower was not working perfectly (splashes a bit) and the bathtub was maybe more for decoration (not clean, no hot water, but could be used after some adaptions). We absolutely can recommend staying there and would book it again!
