My cousins and I went on a 5 night/ 6 day trip to Grenada and stayed at the Royalton. Two of us had stayed at another Royalton in Antigua, so we somewhat knew what to expect. Overall, our trip was amazing!! The staff was so kind, caring, and attentive. The pools and beach were absolutely beautiful. When we needed or requested something, it was attended to very quickly. Even the medical care was amazing at the resort! One member of our party slipped on an excursion and she was taken care of at the nursing station on property, with follow-ups! Thank you to all of the amazing nurses and doctor who took such great care of her, especially Dr. Gilbert, Nurse Andrea, and Nurse Julianne. We stayed in an Oceanfront Diamond Club Suite, which had a beautiful balcony and the greatest butlers, who became more like friends. Kezia and Lindon, thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay so incredibly special (from decorating the room to getting an extra chair for the balcony to always checking in). Also, even though Brad was not our butler, he too become a part of our squad by making an effort to welcome us, get us settled, and help with whatever we needed. There is a bit of a hill to get to the main part of the resort and we would mostly walk, but there was also always the option of taking a buggy, which we appreciated. Our favorite restaurants were the Indian, Taj, and the Italian, Grazie. We ate a ton of delicious food! We also loved visiting the coffee shop for lattes, sweets, and even Nutmeg ice cream. Plus, there is nothing like having a tropical drink (or two) at the swim-up bar! For activities, we really enjoyed the Aquafit class and the balloon toss, but we were just as happy to wade in the warm ocean water or lounge in the sun. A few small cons that really didn't affect our overall enjoyment of the trip: -Many of the activities were cancelled or changed throughout our stay (this may be due to the fact that the resort only got busy when we were leaving- something we didn't mind, as we never had to deal with crowds). Also, we love earning prizes, but most competitions didn't offer any. -The spa does not have hydropools like some of the other Royaltons. -The buffet was just ok, which I have found to be fairly consistent across any of the all-inclusive resorts I have stayed at. **Some things to note before traveling to Grenada: -There are a lot of mosquitos, so bring good bug spray -Make sure that whatever cash you carry is in perfect condition- everyone takes American money, but no one can accept ripped bills as the Grenadian banks will not take them. Finally, some additional thank yous: -Leah, for your positive attitude and warm demeanor -Daniel, for being a great bartender -Chef Adrian, for the delicious omelettes accompanied by a serenade -Shakim and Tyrone, for always assisting us and keeping us safe -Akim, for offering a helping hand -Rocky, for indulging us and taking a ton of pictures for our photoshoot -Danielle, for organi

My dive and travel experience: 2375 dives since certification in 1999 Scuba Instructor 97.5 weeks of out of the country scuba experience (Not USA) I was a bit reluctant when our travel agent suggested Grenada for one of our yearly group trips, but I was willing to try something different. Generally, we do our group trips to locations where my wife and I have been in the past, but this trip was an exception. I got to say this was a fabulous place for a change from the usual Bonaire, Roatan, Cayman's and Cozumel for scuba diving and just plain fun. Lets start with the resort which was True Blue Bay. I have a really difficult time giving any resort or hotel five stars, but aside from a couple issues with the restaurant several of us in our group who travel a lot have deemed it to be a top three best dive resort in the Caribbean and all of us agreed that we would definitely return to this resort someday. That is quit a honor to be in the top three. The resort is well manicured and nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The room was also clean. The only issues I had with the rooms are that the hot water was not always hot enough (more warm), the walls in places could use some paint and some of the curtains did not open as they should. The restaurant had a great oceanside atmosphere with mostly good service. I was not the happiest with breakfast as nothing was ever ready when it was suppose to be, but the choices were adequate. If you want pancakes you will need to wait almost 30 minutes for them. The lunches were on a preorder system from breakfast and very very good and served timely. We forgot to preorder once and it took a long time to get it. The dinners were great, but don't be in a hurry. As a group of 18, meals tended to take longer. We were not in a hurry as we are all friends and the meal package includes alcohol. The extra time gave us time to hang out. The staff in the restaurant were polite and handled our group well. If you are a big eater and on the meal plan you can order a starter, main and dessert. They also had no issue with ordering extras like French fries or sweet potato fries. For most dinners there was live entertainment ranging from small bands to local singers. The dive shop and dive crew were on site and managed through Aquanaut Divers. They were all great! We had mostly the same staff on our boat all six days and had absolutely no complaints. The safety briefing covered all of the required information and the crew was fun. The dive boats were spacious and not overcrowded. As a group we did a two excursions which can be done in one day or split into two. The first day we did the Seven Sisters Waterfall. This was a four hour trip when including the drive time. The hike itself is about 45 minutes each way and really not for the elderly or out of shape. Once you arrive at the falls they are beautiful and the hike is nice also. The second trip was also four hours and we visited the chocolate hous

We spent two wonderful weeks at Sandals Grenada in early September. We have spent roughly 150 nights at this resort which hopefully speaks for how exceptional we feel this property is. This, however, was probably our best ever vacation at Sandals Grenada. We had to ask ourselves, “How can perfect get better?” Somehow it did. The management and staff are wonderful and we feel are the biggest asset at the resort. We are always impressed with the way Peter Fraser has managed the best Sandals we have ever visited. The Operations Manager, Jamie Charles is also a real asset to this perfectly run operation. The grounds are perfectly maintained by the staff who work tirelessly in the heat. Our accommodations were wonderful and our housekeeper, Rachael, kept our room in immaculate order. Our butlers, Kervin, Neron and Brent were amazing, as always. We have known all three of these wonderful young men for years, and to us, they are family. It is always wonderful catching up and hearing about their families and seeing pictures of their little ones. A special thank you to Brent who went out of his way to make sure we were able to meet his son. A very, very special thank you to Kervin for getting certified and diving with us one day. This meant so much to us. It is a rewarding experience to have them share their lives with us. During our vacation we were also able to re-visit with the other butlers with whom we have developed friendships; that being Davey, Chris, Marlon, Glendon, Teddy, Antonio, and Christopher. We also had the great pleasure of meeting Shane this time and are very much looking forward to seeing him next time. The butlers at this resort are the most customer focused, friendly, warm and professional. Thank you Shanell for all your work to provide such an incredible butler team. The cuisine and service throughout the resort is the best we have experienced at any Sandals resort. We dined in Butch’s a number of times during our 14 day stay. The food, as always, was extraordinary. The crab cakes followed by filet mignon and lobster were delicious. Jamie, the Operations Manager, was kind enough to join us there on our visit. This made our vacation even more special. It is obvious he has a special place in his heart for this property and the staff. Vanester made certain we were well cared for during our visits to Butch’s. Cocina had some wonderful risotto and the best carbonara and we were perfectly accommodated during our meal at Cocina. Another one of our favorites is the Japanese restaurant, Soy. The sushi, tataki, and tempura were all excellent. During our first visit to Soy, we ended up at a table outside with some fellow scuba divers from prior visits which made for a fun catchup. We ate lunch every day at Neptunes. The food at Neptunes is always great. Thank you to chef Nichole, chef Alisa and chef Akim. Additionally, the service is amazing.
