Maison M Troyes

Highly recommend Maison M. It’s a beautiful building in the perfect location for exploring Troyes. Spacious, spotlessly clean rooms with high ceilings. Lovely bathroom, and comfy bed. Locked parking was also good for us as our car was laden with bikes and paddle boards. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was delicious. Thank you. Will definitely be back.

This was our second time in M Maison Troyes and won't be our last. Firstly, the location is lovely. Along a river and a short walk to the ancient centre. Perfect. It is tranquil and secluded. The common areas are beautiful and well kept. The rooms have everything you need. Ours was huge and luxurious. It was missing a safe, but it felt secure. Breakfast was good. They don't offer a cooked breakfast but it was still good. The owners are very polite and you get the total immersion experience, i.e. they speak French to you! I personally liked this but I can imagine many people struggle. The owners will switch into English if it is important. The one thing that threw me last time and this time is the check-in hours. It is between 17.30 - 19.30. This means that the gates are locked before this and you can neither park there nor store your baggage and go for a walk until 17.30. We had to leave our car outside with all our stuff inside which didn't feel very safe. This 2 hour window is very short and at about midnight we heard a car beeping aggressively to get in. Maybe the owners could think about sending an email via Booking or Agoda upfront telling us this as I had truly forgotten. If they insist on 17.30 (and I have never heard of a check in time after 16.00) then maybe an upfront email explaining where we can park or even giving us the code to the car park so we don't have to worry about our stuff being in the car. Otherwise, if you are aware of this, this place is perfect!

The Maison M is in a perfect location overlooking once navigable Canal de la Haute-Seine and within short walking distance of St Peter and Paul Cathedral,Le Vitrail (glass museum) within Hotel Dieu The mansion has its own green space set back from the road and has an elegant imposing facade Within its walls Michelle and Bruno have created a very modern bed and breakfast respecting its historical heritage. The ceilings throughout are high and the decor subtle. Our room was spacious with many small details - two desks, focus bedside lights,light señsor inside separate toilet, separate bath and rain shower As one would except there were high quality toiletries,a safe,ample cupboard space and the most comfortable bed with high quality bed linen The breakfast was superb.In addition to a standard French breakfast there was yoghurt fresh fruit, variety of hams and cheeses Michelle and Bruno were welcoming engaging and very hands on We do not need to look elsewhere on a return visit
