The Moonraker Hotel ★★★

"Il nostro soggiorno in questo hotel ci ha lasciato sentire un po' sottosopra. Anche se non andare fino a dire di evitarlo completamente, non posso raccomandarlo o vedere me stesso tornare. La camera, annunciata come una letto di grandezza re, si è rivelata deludente come una doppia. Anche se l’hotel si è impegnato in scelte verdi, la camera era insostenibile al momento dell’arrivo. Dovremmo aprire le finestre e la porta solo per raffreddare. Questa mancanza di comfort di base sembrava contraddittoria alla loro marcatura ecoconscienza. Inoltre, mancavano piccole ma cruciali strutture, come un asciugacapelli, e alcune luci non funzionavano. L'assenza di un telefono in camera non significava che non ci fosse un modo facile per chiedere questi elementi mancanti, aggiungendosi all'inconveniente generale. La colazione era deludente, ma il cosiddetto buffet era un piccolo, anche se piacevole, colazione continentale. Tuttavia, essere chiesto immediatamente al arrivo se vogliamo pagare un'ulteriore sterlina per un colazione cotta, ha fatto sentire il disturbo. A £14.50, il solo colazione continentale non si sentiva come un buon valore.  Il ristorante aveva anche un annuncio circa un onere £2.50 per le modifiche di menu. Anche se capisco il principio di oneri, questa politica particolare si è sentita eccessiva e off-put. Queste questioni sono state aggravate dalla mancanza di contatti personali che costituiscono la base di un buon servizio al cliente. Nessuno ha chiesto al check-out o al colazione come fosse stato il nostro soggiorno, un gesto piccolo ma colpito che avrebbe potuto mitigare alcune delle nostre delusioni. In un certo senso, mi sento sovrapagato di circa 20-30% rispetto al valore che ho ricevuto. Sapere cosa faccio ora, probabilmente non avrei scelto questo hotel per il nostro soggiorno."

"Abbiamo apprezzato la nostra permanenza all'Hotel Fieldways. La casa ha un grande carattere e fascino e si dista da hotel moderni e intercambiabili. Soprattutto piacevole troviamo che si tratta di un edificio antico con storia – Tali luoghi hanno un'atmosfera molto speciale per noi. La situazione è bella e contribuisce a sentirsi rapidamente bene e rilassarsi. In generale, abbiamo avuto un soggiorno molto piacevole e ci siamo sentiti ben alzati. Chiunque sappia apprezzare edifici storici e alloggi personali, sicuramente piacerà a Fieldways. Torneremo in qualsiasi momento e potremo consigliare l'hotel. 😊"

"The Green is a stunning house, beautifully and thoughtfully restored, but what really makes it special is the warmth and hospitality. The hosts seem to have perfected that lovely balance of being welcoming and attentive while allowing you to completely relax and enjoy their beautiful home. Our room (Larkspur) was extremely comfortable, with gorgeous bed linen, large fluffy white towels and hand and shower products that smelled divine. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, from the complimentary tea and biscuits when we arrived to the honesty bar…everything feels generous without being overdone. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, starting with homemade granola and Earl Grey poached pears so good I was tempted to have seconds! It was one of those breakfasts where you could tell real thought had gone into every detail. And then there are the gardens. We loved wandering around them in the morning, discovering the beautiful trees and planting, the Victorian kitchen garden and even purple tomatoes! The whole setting is peaceful and rather magical. We only stayed for one night and genuinely wished it had been longer. The Green is one of those rare places that feels both special and wonderfully relaxed. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely stay, you’ve created something very special at The Green"
