4 stars is for the lovely and very helpful girls in reception and for the cleanliness of the rooms. Other aspects get a bit less. I only stayed 1 night on my way through from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik and booked the Sesto Senso because it seemed close to the old town and very well priced and indeed it is both of those things. However, it is more a hotel attached to a restaurant than a hotel with a restaurant attached. There is no real reception but just a little area with a window that holds the receptionist. There is nowhere that you could sit except the restaurant which is so full of tobacco smoke that no non-smoker would ever want to sit there.( It should be noted that the smoking thing is a Bosnia-wide issue and not restricted to this hotel.) I was first given a "deluxe" double room which is what I had booked. It had possibly the worst lighting I have ever had in a room. Bad enough that it wasn't possible to read when sitting on the bed. There was a lamp but it was broken and apparently there wasn't another anywhere in the hotel. The lovely receptionist moved me to a "deluxe" twin room that had a different configuration so that the lighting while no better was above the bed rather than at the end of it. All good for reading in bed. The bed itself was very comfortable and the room/bathroom in such good shape that they looked brand new. The wifi was excellent too. The food in the restaurant (out on the terrace to avoid the worst of the smoke) was very good but in the evening it was darned near impossible to get and/or the retain the waiter's attention. Perhaps it was that I was a foreign, older woman on my own and it was Saturday night when the local men were ordering drinks and socializing. Whatever, after about 30 minutes I gave up trying to get his attention and accosted him inside at the bar demanding to order then and there before he could escape again. He was a nice guy and certainly not sitting on his hands wasting time but I felt invisible and definitely neglected. in the end, I had a good meal and a good night's sleep and the charming and helpful reception girls rubbed out much of the irritation. A strange place but I am sure you could do worse in Trebinje for a 1 to 2 night stay.
