Hidden Gem literally no more than a city block (maybe 100 meters) from the train stop, which is then about 50 minutes to Vienna. Parking is extremely expensive in Vienna, and once you are in the city it is very walkable, or you can get just about anywhere on the metro. This is a family run hotel with a restaurant on the bottom floor. Martin (chef) and his wife Dagmar(hotel manager) are extremely gracious and welcoming. The rooms vary in size (we were there twice and stayed in a suite once and a smaller room the next stay, and are very reasonably priced. The rooms are very clean, and the staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh daily breads and cakes that grandma makes. For a side trip, you can hop on the train in the other direction from Vienna and spend the day in a charming town called Baden, just one (?) stop down the road; or take the train toward Vienna a couple stops to a great, large and very modern shopping mall. Oh, and one more thing. The restaurant and hotel are very environmentally conscious and the winces (they are in the wine region) and even the beer, is organic.
