Hôtel Océan

I can imagine that the rooms facing the water offer a nice view. But my room had a view that, in my opinion, left nothing to be desired in terms of dreariness. (See picture). My bathroom was adjacent to the bathroom of the neighbouring room and I could hear the conversations going on there at night. My bed was wet and sweaty in the morning (polyester?) The service was more than mediocre. We didn't find anyone at first and calls were not always answered. There are nicer places to stay there.

Arrived from our drive from Spain to Uk on what must have been one of the wettest nights but not that far from the motorway connection. We were welcomed by a receptionist & we requested an up-grade to a sea view which we couldn't see until the morning & when we did wondered why the extra €15????.. Anyway as in so many places it wouldn't hurt to put a kettle & tea/coffee in the room. Minimal & not the biggest of rooms but the veranda was nice. I'm sure its great during sumner as it literally overooks the estuary into the Marina. Bed was comfortable, few more hangers needed for longer staying guests...we were only overnight. Warm & basically a no frills room. The location for longer stays and during holiday season is ideal. Didn't book breakfast but the dining area looked clean & fresh. Certainly recommend for anyone travelling between the Uk/Spain.

I give one star because I cannot give zero stars. And, to be fair, the balcony view was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the linen was crisp and fresh. EVERYTHING else is not good. Not good at all - We have been living in France for 20 years, and regularly stay in hotels, airbnb's, gites, hostels and guest houses across France - this was by far the worst experience ever. Bear in mind that this hotel cost us 183 euros FOR JUST ONE NIGHT... 10 minutes waiting in reception at about 6pm Saturday evening to find someone to check us in, and the "emergency phone number" was not answered - we had to leave a message !! The shower cubicle was really not good - black mould all over the tiling, we decided not to use the shower. The tap for the sink was broken and loose, we were worried it would break off completely. And ware took REALLY long time to come through. Nor did we get the two bottles of water promised. Website says these rooms have been renovated - clearly we got the one that wasn't. The sheets and towels were clean and crisp, and the bed was comfortable (but isn't that a minimum requirement ? I'm trying to be positive here !) The balcony was great, and the location on the river was a big plus. But this hotel really needs to work on the basics of being a hotel. I would have attached some photos, but I only have a video - which I wanted to show the hotel owner/manager, but they did not seem to want to know how our stay was. It was very funny when we checked out - the (different) receptionist did not ask us if we had a pleasant stay....I wonder if she was afraid of asking !!! I have cut this review in half because my wife said I sounded like a whingeing Winnie ! Needless to say, we will not be returning.

excellent location , has a reserved car park which is essential in capbreton only issue they need to supply a dummies guide to get the tv to work and even though i re4ad the guide on how to operate the shower it did not work for me staff friendly and polite

En résumé à fuir Pas d’eau chaude Problème chronique dans l’hôtel (ct avis sur les supports divers, Google, booking,:..) Personnel s’en moque complètement Vue sur le parking avec des détritus Cadre de lit sale Hôtel en mode cache misère … Pas digne de recevoir des clients et idem pour les 3 étoiles …

Très bien situé, mais vraiment c’est tout. Pas de serrure à la porte de la salle de bain/ WC. La télé est fixe à la limite du plafond, impossible à regarder. La peinture des plinthes s’effrite. Quand la chambre d’à côté prend la douche, on entend tout comme s’ils étaient dans la chambre. Gaspillage d’eau pour arriver à avoir de l’eau chaude. La salle de bain était pas propre, il rester du dentifrice de l’ancien client. Mais le pire, un doudou d’enfant tombe à côté du lit et la c’est un nuage de poussière. Le petit déjeuné est correct mais cher. Habitués d’aller dans un hôtel proche mais plus accessible pour le moment, nous sommes clairement déçu.

Bonjour. 3 nuits à l'hôtel Océan 3*, du 5 au 8 septembre avec parking. Décus. Petite chambre. Lit de 140 ( j'ai toujours eu un 160 dans les 3 *). Les toilettes sont directement dans la chambre séparés par une porte coulissante en verre légèrement opacisee (on voit la personne sur les wc...). Le plus c'est le petit balcon mais la nuit sur le canal c'est très bruyant. Par ailleurs le bâtiment est très mal insonorisé. Et pour terminé le petit déjeuner avec des viennoiseries grasses et mal cuites. Seuls le café et le thé sont excellents. 13€ c'est trop cher. Nous sommes habitués au Baya Hotel mais il n'y avait pas de place à nos dates. Et le Baya Hotel est moins cher car le parking est gratuit. Et la cerise sur le gâteau. Le 2e jour la chambre n'a pas été faite.... trop de chambres à faire pour le seule homme de chambre !!! Ce n'est pas le problème des clients qui paient pour un service.. Pour moi je conseillerais d'aller ailleurs. Nous * aux hôtels 3* et 4*. Et c'est la 1ère fois que je suis aussi peu satisfaite.
