We booked the closest accommodation to the hard to locate bouncing stones site. Our bonus was a super neat, clean and welcoming little bungalow. The multiple glass louvre windows did not have any sight of grime, dirt, webs, deteriorated screening - nothing! It was delightfully clean with nice touches an ocean themed decor- bed cover, toilet roll holder, towel hooks. The ceiling was in excellent repair with no sign of mould or mildew or webs common in such tropical locations. Our checkin was via an email message and a friendly note on the cabin door. Best of all we found the bouncing stones just a 15 minute walk up the beach! Sadly no cassowary wandered through during our visit!

Amazing location opposite the beach. Excellent comms from the owner. Just a really nice clean place to stay in the middle of the Daintree. A must if you're in Far North Queensland. The bungalows are easily accessible from the main road roughly halfway between the crossover bridge and Cape Tribulation Put your phone away and explore nature.

A very comfortable stay. No TV and no Aircon…just the way we like it. We actually made conversation so any Gen X ‘s may struggle with this place. No need for Aircon as the louvers and fan were quite adequate. Thanks for being so open and friendly Dean. Across the road are the best views and Fish n Chips. Highly Recommend this place

The cabins are clean and contain all the creature comforts you need for a relaxing stay in the Daintree. We picked up some dinner ingredients from Mason's and made use of the bbq facilities. The next morning we made a cuppa and walked across the road to watch the sunrise over Thornton Beach

3 of us booked this as part of a quick trip to cape tribulation from cairns. We had both of the small bungalows at the front. Some of the reviews on here seem so crazy to me. I’m not sure what these people are expecting in the middle of the rainforest! The cabins are perfect for a short stay. They have everything you can need - a fridge, with a very small freezer in the top, plates and cups and cutlery. There are bbq’s outside which are available to use. We stopped at port Douglas on the way up and grabbed burgers amongst other food. The nearest shop is a good 10 minute drive away, and the nearest evening restaurant around 15 minutes. The cafe across the road that is on Thornton beach is lovely, however does close at 3pm every day (aside from Saturdays, where I was told they stay open for dinner). Unfortunately the weather was terrible on our trip, but we made the most of it the best way we could. We sat outside and drank and ate and enjoyed just being in the tranquility of the rainforest. The beach is literally across the road. Dean and Jodie were excellent hosts. This place is exactly as described. If you are looking for 5 star luxury you are in the wrong place altogether. Thank you, we will be back!

Note the Outside sink to do dishes - can only cook on a bbq No telstra. Only optus. 600 mb per device. In this day and age it's not much. If problem with anything to do with the place as it's all off grid, can only email owners. Have to walk over road for reception. Outdoor chairs and umbrellas a nice touch Bungalow situated On main road so plenty of traffic noise.

Direkt gegenüber eines wunderschönen Strands inmitten des Dschungel gelegen. Außer der Natur hört man hier wenig. Es ist mit Solarstrom versorgt, daher muss man auf ein bisschen Komfort verzichten, hat weder Klimaanlage noch TV, dafür schaut man aus dem Bett ins Grüne und hat sogar WLan. Man hat die Möglichkeit zu Grillen und auf der Terrasse zu essen, wenn man sich vorher mit Lebensmitteln eingedeckt hat. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank sowie das nötigste an Besteck etc. ist vorhanden.
