Hotel in zona Stump Lake, Thompson-Nicola

孩子放春假了，我們計劃去班夫自駕遊，於是就上路了。在坎普魯斯住一夜，然後蕾佛斯託克，再到班夫。本以為坎普魯斯和蕾佛斯託克是過路住一下，所以就選擇了Fairfield這個比較新的酒店，沒想到大大超過了我們的預期！因為天氣的原因，班夫要下雪，我們的車沒換雪胎，所以取消了班夫的行程，改成去基洛納了，也訂了Fairfield,這次三個地方都住了Fairfield。房間面積大，早餐免費並且就餐環境好，設施齊全，服務統一標準且人性化，乾淨整潔。並且每家酒店在一樓就餐處全天都提供咖啡、茶，自己取用。性價比非常優越，三家都沒有踩雷，非常開心！

La camera è incredibilmente pulita. Le due letti matrimoniali e le mutandine sono molto comode. Tuttavia, il letto singolo è sabbiato e ha fatto un sacco di rumore quando si gira. Il prezzo è molto ragionevole. Il ventilatore della camera da bagno è molto debole. Il ristorante del Motel, il Café Hideout, si apre solo alle 8:00, che credo sia un po 'di ritardo per i viaggiatori. Se il fan del bagno e il ristorante possono migliorare le ore di apertura, questo è in generale un ottimo motel.

La Plaza era una bella sorpresa. Siamo stati immediatamente impressionati dal fuoco all'ingresso e dal personale di accoglienza professionale. L'intero hotel è stato ben ripristinato. La stanza era assolutamente senza spot. Il buffet è stato fantastico in un ristorante ben arredato, ma il ghiaccio sul torto è stato il personale che ci ha guidati attraverso la storia di questo magnifico edificio storico.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised about the age and condition of the hotel. It is reasonably new and has a large airy lobby with multiple sitting areas (which was empty when we were there). We stayed at the tail-end (we hope) of the pandemic for a chance to try out this hotel when it wasn't too busy or too expensive. There are two Holiday Inns in Kamloops, so watch the address. This is the one on the North Shore (across the Thompson River from downtown). There is another that is close to Hwy 1 & Hwy 5 on the way into town from Vancouver. There is a White Spot Restaurant on site where we ate dinner & breakfast. I will review it separately, but the food was excellent, prices were mid-range to a bit expensive (breakfast $15-$20, dinner $15-$30). Breakfast is NOT included with your room cost at this hotel. Both hotel and restaurant followed all COVID protocols in place at the time, even having sanitized pens available for check-in. The hotel and room were very clean. We were comfortable & and slept well. The only glitch was that on check-in, we were told that the accessible room we had reserved wasn't available. They had reassigned us to a regular room, thinking that we didn't really need the accessible room. When I asked, the cheaper rate of ”any room available when you check in” was granted, rather than the more expensive rate we had booked online to be able to choose a specific room. Another time, as well as booking online, I will phone the hotel to confirm that the room type we have booked is available. We found out that this hotel has only one accessible room, so don't expect to stay in it at a busy time unless you book well ahead. We were able to tour this room before we left town and found that it would meet our needs in the future. It has a very nice roll-in shower. Light switches are also lower than usual, but the rest of the room was very similar to the regular room with one king-sized bed that we were assigned. If it wasn't for the check-in glitch, I would give this hotel a rating of 5. We will likely stay again and would recommend it to visitors to Kamloops, especially if you want to be on the North Shore. It would be a very nice option not too far from the airport, if that is important to you.

La camera da pranzo non poteva essere più accogliente, gentile e attento. E' una gemma, rende questo grande hotel favoloso! Anche la custodia è eccellente. Ho dovuto spostare le mutande intorno per ospitarci. Ci hanno riparati, ma ci hanno lasciato tutto come ci serviva, non hai idea di come provare a sorpresa siamo stati. Mani giù il miglior BW che ho soggiornato!
