Residences at the Sun Peaks Grand

Sun Peaks Resort is a great place to have a ski vacation with a family and the Grand is well suited to accommodate all our needs from well appointed rooms/condos, to a great ski in ski out ski valet service, ski equipment rental and wonderful staff providing great service. We will return!

Can see fireworks from swimming pool / hot tub with young kids. Very family friendly. Warm welcome drinks at lobby upon arrival. Free ski valet service which you can secure your equipment when you went back hotel room or while having lunch at restaurants

This is a great location but management seems to only want to nickel and dime you and isn’t worth staying. Too bad bc the room was fairly comfortable - the first night we couldn’t figure out the heat but it sorted itself out. The staff were very friendly and made the experience as good as possible, it’s just too bad that management has to try and collect everything they can from you. They increased my room charge by an additional $200 a night bc I didn’t act on my first offer and then proceeded to charge me $30 a night for a basic cot! Are you kidding me? I paid over $700 a night and then you have to take more for a little cot? I find that embarrassing for your establishment.

We chose to stay at The Grand Sun Peaks on this our 4th trip to Sun Peaks, because it was our first time with only the 3 of us… no need for a multi-family shared chalet. We also did not have a car this time so being right in the village was essential. With two skiers in our family and me now a “Chalet Muma” the location of this hotel was perfect, the facilities were excellent even down to the ski valet system and the layout of the 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment in the Residences was great. Holding prime position in the Village, tight next to the Clock Tower, meant that I could still feel very much connected with the ski field activity and easily walk to meet my adult children at “Bottoms” for our daily lunch catch up. The Apartments in the Residences were serviced daily just like the hotel rooms. It is worth noting you cannot get room service in The Residences. You can however simply walk down to Mantles to order a delicious take away meal to take back to your apartment. The bonus is you can enjoy a delightful cocktail at the bar while you wait. We found the beds extremely comfortable in our room 1206, and having the ability to open the window just a little at night for fresh crisp air was perfect for my sleep. It was the little extra attention to details that also made our stay so memorable. Our pre/arrival concierge was exceptional making sure the rooms were set up just as we needed; offering links to a Provedore Service; airport transport companies and even the option to a Christmas Tree in our room for a very reasonable charge . A truly great vacation was enjoyed by us all.

We discovered this resort completely by a chance, and what a great surprise this was! We really regretted that we could not stay longer at Sun Peaks and really loved the village. Considering the price we paid was several times smaller than what we paid in the Rockies for much worse accommodation, we would love to visit again one day.

Between stove and counter was absolutely filthy with old food, dishes and wine glasses not cleaned , spatula had stuck in food
