Nice hotel with spacious rooms. I had a corner room on the 4th floor which had a balcony with a great view of the temple nearby and the entire Thimphu valley. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and best part, the floors were heated. The food at the hotel wasn't very good. Breakfast options were super limited, especially if you're vegan or vegetarian. The in-room safes across the hotel are not working, and the sauna and steam room are also out of service. There is a lot of construction around the hotel. Overall the hotel is in a nice quiet location a 15 minute walk uphill from the center of Thimphu. For the price it's a great hotel and I'd stay there again. But would love if they fixed the sauna and steam and the in-room safes so I don't have to carry all my valuables around with me everday.

- The hotel staff speaks good english, so there is no problem communicating with tourist. - The hotel has a lift and staff will bring your luggage to your room. - The restaurant is located just beside the lobby at level 1 - The room is big and roomy.

We had a really lovely stay at the Khang Residency. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely smart, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible We asked for a bit more spice in our food for dinner on the second night and although they had never been asked for this before, they were most obliging! Thank you so much Khang Residency - a really lovely place to stay on our first night in Bhutan.

The friendliest place one can start a holiday. Quaint, personal, quiet and very very private. Superb. The only minor hitch being communication. Not very fluent in english. Speak slowly, for them to understand what you need. Once done, everything is EXCELLENT

What a great hotel and staff, one night here was all our program allowed but the stay was brilliant and we would definitely stay again. Staff were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation was perfect and warm on what had turned out to be a cold day. I reckon this hotel beats many in cities worldwide.

Khang Residency in located in a lovely part of Thimpu and rooms offer beautiful views of the town. The ambience was lovely traditional and the hotel felt like a homely nest where everyone wished to assist guests. Staff certainly are the treasure of this hotel - they provide support 24/7, a coffee and tea awaits at reception upon return from a busy day and Dorji and her colleagues are the sincerest and dearest team members. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner and the range of tasty meals provided was more than we expected and/or could eat. Compared with other hotels, including more expensive ones, Khang Residency stood out, specifically thanks to its care and the kindness of staff.

The rooms are very nice, well maintained. Nice bathroom. The pillows were a bit flat and hard. This made it difficult to sleep wearing ear plugs, which were really necessary due to the almost continuous barking of dogs going on around the hotel most of the time during the night. The curtains did not block out the sunlight fully, which led me to wake up very early (not a problem for me, but worth noting). The restaurant was okay, a bit dark, very friendly and professional staff. However during my one week stay, they did not have about half the items I ordered in stock each time I ate there. I paid about 95 dollar per night via a website, and overall I found that too expensive considering the poor quality of my sleep. I since found another place for half the price where I sleep much better.

Superb hotel with good food and excellent service The front office were excellent and the Jain food was exceptional Important that they were always there to help and the rooms were so spacious and with good amenities Rohit in front desk was superb

Superb hotel with exceptional rooms with a kitchenette and superb staff The Reception Front desk staff Dorji, Tandin and Rohit were exceptional. Rohit a young boy was so polite and helpful that it really made our stay a pleasure The food was nice and they went out of their way to provide Jain food which is never easy away from Indian sub continent. Special mention for Mon, Sonam, Wangmo, Peña, Yeshey and Kumbu. Very nice hotel and will definitely return. A 3 star hotel with 5 Star service
