My husband was working in the area (Centre Parcs) and so we booked and stayed for two nights at the Premier Inn in a Premier Plus Room, very good value for money. We paid £146.96 for 2 x nights including cooked breakfast for both of us for two mornings. Plenty of parking on arrival in large car park, hotel just off a main road just as you turn into a little residential estate. Reception is small and dreary and upon arrival, which was early (1.45pm) before we said anything, the lady on reception stated "it's £15 for early access to your room!" and she did not smile once. I said it is fine I will wait until 3pm, the check in time and went through to the adjoining pub "The Warrener" to wait, which was comfortable and a fine place to wait. I also asked if we could get a room overlooking the car park and was abruptly told "your room is already allocated, I will see what I can do but we are fully booked!" again no hint of a smile. At 3pm I was allocated my room, no mention of whether she changed us to a car park view or not and on arrival to our room we realised that no she hadn't. Not to worry, our view overlooked the main road but noise wasn't a problem at all. Room was lovely and large, very clean and had a small fridge, small coffee pod machine, 3 x coffee pods and a small selection of tea bags, sugar and 6 x UHT milk pots, plus two mini chocolates. Would have been nice to have some fresh milk in the fridge, there was however two complimentary small bottles of water (one sparkling and one still). The room had an Ironing Board, Iron, vanity area by the door, with its own mirror, stool and light above mirror, which was unfortunately too dark to use for make-up as no natural light, but ok for blow drying your hair though with supplied hairdryer. Bed was very comfortable, ambient lights over the headboard and above the curtains were nice. Comfortable armchair and foot stool for relaxing and nice desk area and desk chair for working. Good size flat screen TV on wall above a large stool for putting your suitcase on while unpacking or other uses. Shower room was a good size, shower was a rain head and wall mounted hand held combi, good water pressure and nice and hot. Heated mirror was a nice touch so clears quickly when steamy and good for putting on make-up as great lighting in there. Generic wall mounted all in one shower gel/shampoo dispensers, same for sink area, no separate toiletries so be sure to bring your own creams etc and no flannels provided. No safe in room. Heating system a bit confusing and when asking at reception (which took a while as unmanned and when pushing the on counter buzzer several times, no-one appeared for a good 5-8 minutes and a queue was forming), was told that there is an instruction leaflet in the room showing you how to use the air conditioning control on the wall to turn the separate wall mounted heater (with it's own LCD panel that doesn't work) on. The leaflet in your room just explains very basically how to
