Hotel in zona Shipwreck Epanomi, Thermaikos

I recently stayed at the Sun Beach Hotel in Agia Triada with my husband and our 5-year-old daughter, and our experience was quite mixed. Rooms and Amenities: The hotel is housed in an old building, and it shows in the condition of the rooms and furniture. The room we stayed in had outdated and worn-out furniture, including a very old and dusty carpet. The curtains were also dusty, which is unacceptable for a hotel. The balcony was concerning as the fence moved with every touch, making it feel unsafe. There was no kettle in the room, which I found to be an inconvenience. A small fridge was provided in the room, tucked inside a piece of furniture. While it was handy to have, the fridge was quite noisy, and the constant hum made it difficult to sleep properly. One particularly unsettling aspect of our room was the door in the middle that connected to the adjacent room. It seemed to offer little soundproofing, as we could clearly hear the conversations of the people next door. This was especially unnerving at night, and it made us feel less secure and disturbed our sleep. The beds were okay, with one separate bed and two twin beds, and the mattresses were decent. However, the central air conditioning system was not functioning properly, causing issues in the hallway and at the reception area. Key Card and Door Issues: When we arrived, the key card for our room didn’t work, so we were given a regular key instead. Unfortunately, the door was extremely difficult to open, even showing marks from previous struggles to push it open. This added unnecessary frustration to our stay and made entering our room a hassle. Cleanliness and Hygiene: The hotel operates a policy of changing towels only upon request, which is environmentally friendly and reduces excessive detergent use, so I appreciated that aspect. However, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. The pool was overcrowded, and it was clear that hygiene standards were not being enforced. I observed people with visible fungal infections on their nails being allowed into the pool, which was quite disturbing. Despite the pool area looking nice at first glance, this lack of care for hygiene was a major drawback. Service: The service at the reception was another low point of my stay. We had express check-in, but the staff did not respect the check-in hours of 14:00, nor did they honor the express check-in service. The receptionists were rude and unhelpful, which left a bad impression right at the start of my stay. Breakfast: The breakfast was decent, with a buffet offering a variety of options that could cater to most tastes. However, a significant inconvenience was the lack of ingredient labels on the buffet items. This was particularly problematic for my daughter, who has dietary restrictions. It made navigating the buffet more challenging, and I would strongly recommend the hotel address this issue for the sake of guests with food allergies or special dietary needs. Bathroom: The

L'hotel è comodissimo per l'aeroporto: 10 minuti in auto. È situato in una zona dove non c'è nulla e non è così facile da trovare, nonostante il GPS. Questo perché la strada di accesso non è particolarmente visibile ed il cartello con le indicazioni dalla strada principale (Peraia-Salonicco) è coperto dagli alberi e non è illuminato di notte. La camera vista mare che ci hanno assegnato era spaziosa, con un letto molto comodo ed una bella terrazza. Anche il bagno è spazioso e fornito di un bel servizio cortesia, accappatoi e ciabattine. Peccato per questa moda delle docce aperte: regolarmente si bagna dappertutto, soprattutto il pavimento che diventa così pericolosamente scivoloso!!! Il personale alla reception, al bar ed in sala colazione è stato molto cortese ed efficiente. Ottimo il consiglio del concierge di lasciare l'auto al parcheggio Ikea e raggiungere il centro di Salonicco in bus. Il traffico è da delirio!!! La camera era ben pulita. Abbiamo usufruito della colazione il primo giorno: ampia scelta sul buffet e prodotti di buona qualità. Il secondo giorno siamo partiti molto presto e ci hanno fornito una colazione ” al sacco” da consumare in camera oppure da portare via. In camera c'è il bollitore con the e caffè. Alcune pecche per un 4 stelle: 1) il lavandino in bagno con crepe e scheggiature proprio non si può vedere. 2) L'insonorizzazione è pessima e dal corridoio si sentono tutti i rumori 3) In terrazzo si sente il puzzo della cucina 4) mancano le istruzioni sul funzionamento della cassaforte in camera. Cmq una buona esperienza ed un prezzo adeguato.

Ho soggiornato una notte all'Hotel Golden Star, ho scelto l'Hotel perché ho volato presto al mattino e l'Hotel era a 15 minuti di taxi dall'aeroporto di Salonicco e anche vicino al mare. L'hotel è stato molto amichevole, le camere erano moderne e pulite, l'aria condizionata funzionava bene. La stanza era molto piccola ma non si importava molto perché stavo solo nella stanza. Il Lounge Bar, le scale e il Beach Bar erano molto piacevole e confortevole. L'hotel dispone di una spiaggia privata, che è molto piccola. Nelle vicinanze dell'hotel ci sono stati molti ristoranti e negozi di souvenir turistici.

Albergo pulito, comodo con personale efficiente e molto disponibile. Molto simpatica la signora, di cui ora mi sfugge il nome. A pochi metri dal lungomare di Perea ed alla miriade di locali che lo caratterizzano. Stanza pulita e con tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole, compreso un buon frigorifero , molto utile per tenere bevande al fresco nelle sere ancora calde di settembre. Colazione abbastanza varia: ho particolarmente apprezzato la presenza di piccole porzioni di tiropita e spanacopita ( pasta sfoglia farcita con formaggio o formaggio e spinaci) e persino di bugatsa, dolce tipico di Salonicco. A meno di dieci minuti di taxi dall'aeroporto di Salonicco.

What a great three night stay at Hyatt Regency in Thessaloniki. The hotel is amazing with beautiful gardens and a huge swimming pool. The greatest asset of this property though are their staff. All of them are very professional trying hard to give their best for your staying at the hotel. Special thanks goes to Ms Eleftheria Theodorou(Guests Relations Supervisor) for making sure that our stay would be as great as possible. We will definitely return to this hotel and will recommend this to anyone traveling to Thessaloniki wanting that extra luxury and comfort for their stay.

Good points : - The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly and kept us well informed whenever we had questions. - We were left to check out at 1 p.m. Negative points : - The location: it's literally a No Man's Land there is absolutely nothing around the hotel. - The swimming pool: we were told that there would be 2 swimming pools, one indoors and one outdoors, however during the 5 days we were there the outdoor pool had a problem and was green they gave them took several days to completely empty it in the field next to the hotel and as many days to fill it using a small garden hose, when we asked if we could at least enjoy the indoor pool we were told that it was emptied during the summer and therefore during our stay we could not take advantage of the swimming pool once. - Cleanliness: leaves something to be desired, cleaning was only done once during our stay of 4 nights because we explicitly requested it (although every day we put ”clean the room” on our door). The joints of the bathroom were completely moldy, the terrace was filled with excrement of midges, the evacuation of the condensation of the air conditioning went directly to the terrace which made that when we used the air conditioning the terrace was flooded dirty water and prevented us from walking freely, the entrance door to the room (213) was completely smashed. - Breakfast: we could not book the room without breakfast unfortunately because there was no choice it even happened to us not to take it at the hotel even if it was paid. The value for money leaves something to be desired given the inconveniences but the 2 receptionists who did our check-in and our check-out were very friendly

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel una settimana a luglio. Che dire vicino al centro volendo si può anche andare a piedi per le vie più centrali. Non ha proprio un parcheggio se non un paio di posti davanti all'ingresso, comunque non si fa fatica a trovare un parcheggio. Stanze pulite e colazione nella norma. Da considerare sicuramente per una vacanza a salonicco senza tante pretese.

Quando ero in viaggio d'affari, mi interessava solo una stanza tranquilla da recuperare, il ricevitore mi ha rispettato la richiesta e, ancora di più, ho avuto l'opzione di un checkout tardivo a nessun costo aggiuntivo. La pausa era molto buona, l'unica cosa che mi disappuntava è stata le bevande di succo di sciroppo di calex (in Grecia!). In generale sono molto felice del mio soggiorno, anche se la ridecorazione che si svolge intorno alla zona di lobby dà una strana prima impressione :)

Its location, albeit not with a great view and quite noisy, was very convenient and easy to connect to the rest of the city-centre, because of the public transport stops nearby. The room was spotless and the house-keeping was excellent. The only issue with the room was its not having hot water all the time and the WiFi being unstable, at times. The breakfast was quite good and offered plenty of options; the dining hall was beautiful. The staff was very kind and helpful and provided an understanding listening ear for any issues there might had been. The reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5, is that I would prefer that there were more languages spoken in the hotel, to make it more accessible. This is a lovely hotel— spacious well-appointed rooms, little balconies (but no outdoor furniture), nice breakfast buffet, welcome snacks, lemon water in the lobby, nice courtyard area. BUT it is in a desolate flat commercial wasteland of abandoned buildings, grubby auto shops & even the occasional streetwalker behind the hotel.I’m not saying the area isn’t safe (as an American, I was probably much safer here than at home), but it is almost a 3km walk to anything of interest as a tourist. unless you are attending a conference onsite (as we were), you can find cheaper hotels in more attractive neighborhoods closer to town.
