Rouxwil Country House

It was a great stay and very warm Hospitality. The Dinner was unbelievable. We are shure, to come back.

We spent two nights at this tranquil farm retreat in the midst of rolling countryside. It is quite remote (about half an hour's drive to any towns/restaurants) so it was good to be offered dinner bed and breakfast. These are taken communally with other guests in the main house and hosted by the owners. Drinks are extra but are modestly priced. The owners make you feel very welcome. The room has an excellent folder with lots of information about things to do. The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. There was no blackout in our suite (just venetian blinds) so anyone disturbed my morning light should bring an eye mask. It was our last stay in South AFrica after touring from Cape Town and a great way to end our holiday. We would recommend to anyone who would like a quiet farm stay. A car is essential.

We had a perfect night's stay at Rouxwil Country house and are already planning a trip back so that we can stay longer. The room was exceptional with a sitting room, coffee/tea making facilities and a stocked refrigerator. Snacks were in the room for us when we arrived and chocolates on our pillows at night. The bathroom was huge and there was an outdoor shower in addition to the double indoor showers. The unit had a private patio from where we could admire the view. There was fresh lavender on all the towels/bathmat etc which was a lovely touch. The bed was very comfortable and the electric blankets were an added bonus. The dinner was incredible and the breakfast was huge with so many options - we didn't need to eat again all day. It was so peaceful on the farm and the farm is very convenient for many day trips. Anine treated us as friends rather than visitors and we can't wait to stay there again!

We enjoyed a wonderful 1 nights stay in this idyllic farm, everyone made us so welcome and at home including the dogs!! The rooms, surroundings were thoughtfully decorated and perfect to relax, wander and chill. Thank you for my birthday pudding surprise too we will be back!!

My son and I had an exceptional evening and will definitely return as soon as possible. Highly recommend the venue and incredible hospitality!

Exactly what we were looking for! A farm stay par excellence! The hosts (owners) are amazing! Beds absolutely wonderful! Spacious and sunny bedroom. Breakfast and dinner spectacular! Beautiful area and very central. Highly recommended!
