Great location and comfortable rooms. Being a boutique hotel on the heritage list, updates to the windows and bathrooms, although bathrooms being very functional, certainly had signs of ageing. Not having a lift made no difference to the stay since the luggage lift worked a treat. Would certainly stay there again .......

Lovely old school hotel, set in the heart of The Rocks, fab king studio room, with rooftop views across to the Sydney Opera House. Ten minutes to circular quay and heaps of restaurants to choose from. Tayim restaurant is attached to the hotel and the food and service there is second to none. Eric’s bar to grab a happy hour beverage and sit in the lobby is really convenient. Recommend to anyone wanting to stay in The Rocks.

Very noisy room 210. Intermittent rumbles from nearby machine room kept us awake for half the night.

I love a good heritage property, even one without a lift. This might be a dealbreaker for acutely afflicted people, but there is a dumbwaiter for moving luggage to upper floors if one is borderline challenged. If I had a choice, I might avoid this location on a Saturday night unless you have SUPER earplugs. Right off a really festive area with pub leavers til 3:30am. Everything else was absolutely lovely.

Great room for being so small, except a really musty smell (old heritage bldg mustiness, not from former inhabitant).
This is a sweet character property, lots of style... warning... no lift! But also, luggage can travel via dumbwaiter to another floor. The wee little bar is great, happy hour 5-7, and the creperie also has fab coffee and breakfast. We liked it here well enough that we extended stay for three more days with a larger room and bed!

A little hidden gem!
Perfect location.
We loved everything about this hotel.
The staff were so kind and hospitable.
