Bishop's Lodge Auberge Resorts Collection

Bishop’s Lodge is a gorgeous property with wonderful amenities and lots of activities! The spa and fitness center were both well appointed. Our group took over the Bunk House and we loved the private “lodge” vibe and having our own common space. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. And we loved our guided experiences/ horseback riding, hiking and fly fishing.

We stayed at Bishops Lodge for a company retreat and the resort offered effortless luxury, incredible accommodations, and plenty of amenities. Our room was absolutely stunning, offering thoughtful details that really made the experience unique. The food was phenomenal (I still have dreams about that salmon!) And the massage at the spa was one of the best I’ve ever had! Two thumbs way up!

Beautiful resort and outstanding customer service. My room was large and had charming southwest appointed decor. They provide premium bottled water, coffee maker with coffee, and local snacks for free. The grounds were breathtaking and the staff where there to accommodate your needs. I would have rated this resort higher if i knew before booking that it would be a four-story hilly hike to my guestroom. You can arrange someone to pick you up by golf cart, but I found it to be inconvenient because you had to wait to be picked up and the driver expected a tip for each time you wanted to go to and from your room. I also wasn't aware that pool and hot tub would be closed for renovation. At a minimum they should have offered a free dinner for two because you are paying for the amenities. The staff are amazing and are very pleasant to engage. They all seem so happy to be working there, and it shows. We had two minor facility issues, and the staff came up immediately to rectify them. I really appreciated that they provided us with late check out at 12PM instead of 11AM. The lodge did offer free yoga at 9:00 am but i didn't participate. The weather was windy and chilly and not conducive to outside activities My concerns are below: -I was disappointed because my hacienda was all the way up the hill, and it wasn't easily accessible. I was very winded by the time I walked from the parking lot to the room. I think there should be e-bikes or scooters offered so we are able to traverse to the room. They have magical lighting at night, and you can see the stars twinkle. However, the path to my room was not well lit and could be a hazard. If you have mobility issues, I would not recommend this resort. Many hills and stairs to traverse. -One night, turn down service came at 8:30 PM which to me was too late since I was already in the shower preparing to go to bed. -The pool and hot tub were out of service, and I was not told that when booking. I wouldn't have used the pool, but the hot tub would have been nice. Overall, I would happily book at another Auberge resort, but Bishop's Lodge wasn't for me. It's a matter of my personal preference
