We stayed at the hotel for 14 days as a family of 4. Overall the stay was very nice and we would stay again. Location and grounds The location of the hotel and the grounds are fantastic. The plants and gardens were very well maintained. The pools were clean and well looked after. The layout of the hotel is very pleasant with lots of paths and greenery. Is one of the best hotel environments I have stayed in. Service Overall the service was good. Most people tried to be helpful, even if they didnt speak English. However, some people were rude which was a shame. Also the language barrier made it difficult to work out how things worked e.g you had to book the cabanas and you had to request a date for visiting the a la carte restaurants. But we worked it out in the end. The booking system for the a la carte restaurants was very strange. You had to provide you check out date and phone number and the restaurant would message which day you were allowed to attend. Food For 10 days the food was very good and there was lots of variety. However, for the last 4 days the food was repetitive and bland. The a la cart restaurants were hit and miss. The starters at the Dragon were amazing but the main was over cooked and inedible. The Fish and Lale restaurants were ok. The service was very strange, whereby they would ask you to order within a couple minutes of sitting down (hadn’t even read the menu). Also the appetisers, soup, starters and salad were all brought out within minutes of each other resulting in a lot of food being on the table. Room service was terrible! The main phone didn’t work so had use the phone by the toilet. I had to then text the order to a number which wasn’t ideal. The food delivered wasn’t what was ordered and the chief refused to cook what was ordered. When we checked out of the hotel I refused to pay for the food, as it wasn’t what we wanted and wouldn’t have ordered it if given the choice. I had to speak with 4 different sets of people who couldn’t authorise the non payment until the head chief and manager came. They didn’t believe me until I showed them the text order and the photos of what was delivered after which they apologised for the mistake (all in it took about 45 minutes). The lunch, snack and drink bars were very good and open from 10am til 6pm. Beach Lots of deck chairs available and the bars were very close. The beach was slightly stoney, so you had to wear flip flops or your feet would hurt. Check out Our rep organised a late check out for us free of charge which was great. We called main reception to get a bell boy to collect our luggage to which she said they would send one straight away. After 30 minutes we called again as no one came and they said they were sending one immediately. After another other 30 minutes I walked down to find someone at which time a bell boy was driving up to our room. It was a very disappointing end to the stay.
